. As a as a Black Nigerian British woman I've experienced racism first hand all my life so I know when I see it and can spot it in an instant. I don't think you know the definition of systemic racism so let me tell you and I will also comment it on the thread so people can see this to avoid the spread of misinformation. Systemic racism :policies and practices that exist throughout a whole society or organization, and that result in and support a continued unfair advantage to some people and unfair or harmful treatment of others based on race. Now you keep mentioning that because ONE Ukrainian official spoke out it isn't systemic racism and that " Systematic" is a government lead. " when that's not what that term means. I'm exhausted and frankly it's not my job to explain (please don't take offence to that it's just how it is) so I suggest that you research about the meaning of systemic racism to understand it for yourself

You referencing a "dark-skinned refugee" is completely irrelevant and to me seems like you're trying to perpetuate the idea that Black refugees are violent and undeserving of shelter and safe passage back to their home countries or out of Ukraine because they are Ukrainians themselves ( do correct me if I interpreted that wrong) " I said this because you brought up a refugee stabbing someone (because they are Black) and then proceeded to say that" there are bad people everywhere " I was saying that seems to be the IDEA that you are perpetuating and to correct me if I was wrong not that you said that yourself.

This is your own assumption which isn't actually true because most of the individuals facing trouble are Ukrainian and or students or those who are living there with a permit they are not refugees, most are citizens and should be viewed as such. There maybe be some people coming from Belarus but what I'm referring to are those living in Ukraine

Yeah but most of these countries were destabiliseed by European nations or the US and still continue to fuel those fights by funding them or providing weapons for their own gain.

And what security problems exact are they having with these countries?

Also what has it being in Europe got to do with anything? Are you saying because these nations aren't in Europe they don't deserve the same level of support?

Also British here just want to note that us leaving the EU doesn't mean we've left Europe just so you're aware of that.

And the UK has actually has actually had a hand in the wars of some (if not all tbh I wouldn't be surprised I'd have to do some research though) of these wars so why can't they meddle again as usual and try helping for a change

Also sorry if I seem annoyed, I'm frustrated and tried of seeing this happen again and again and having to explain what injustice is going on and why it should be taken seriously. I'm sorry that Ukraine is getting invaded by Russia but the fact that this is going on along side it is just disgusting and so disappointing to see.

Finally where did you get that last part that most of them are from Belarus? Do you have an article or stats to back that because I've not found anything but I'll try looking again. And EVEN if that is true, still doesn't justify their treatment at the borders and in Ukraine in general

You also mentioned about common sense that woman and children go first. Ok so how does that explain Ukrainian and Ukrainian soldiers REFUSING to allow Black pregnant women and children entry into the trains and blocking them from entering.

That's interesting. I don't think that's what they meant. I interpreted it as people haven't seen the discrimination which is going on currently at the Polish to both Indian and African students trying to leave the country. No one is saying to bomb them or that what is happening to Ukraine is ok,but the fact that they are discriminating in a time like this is inhumane and awful to see. And the media isn't helping by saying things about Ukraine like "these aren't war torn countries these are European's" or " I'm seeing people with blond hair and blue eyes being bombed". The media seems to be bringing this idea that because they are a predominantly white and European nation we should care even more so and that's just worrying uncomfortable to see
