watched 2 eps and it was so boring. How is this rated so high?
Disney subscribers rationalize what they pay and have to convince themselves what they are watching is awesome and not wasted money for crap or average content.

Moving isn't moving nor moving.
And pushed my tolerance for slow-paced dramas beyond the limit.

Title Moving
For an unknow reason unless the most credible: sadism; the writer torture the audience during the 6 first episodes by the most sluggish and boring slowness without plot or real story.
Then at episode 8, in a surprising way or rather because it's a challenge to do worst, the background stories are interesting. With occasional painful slow scenes too, but less, or for a reason.

I binged all 6 available episodes and it seems that I'm the only one who kept laughing when they went to the Island…
It's the crazy and excessive style of this writer. :-D

Quick question, anyone knows a young male actor who did cameo in ep7 (which is his scene in the saloon with Dohyuk)?…
The guy in prison could be just a K agent.

What we can guess about K:
- Have to be charismatic.
- Have to be experimented actor.
- Have to be surprising, like a young guy?

I think this young guy meet all the expectation.
Actor: https://kisskh.at/people/501-park-ji-bin
He looks young but in real is 28, have a distinctive face, and made already tons of dramas.

I remember him in: The Incarnation of Money.

It's a comedy-makjang like Penthouse or 7-escape.
And with actress Hwang Jung Eum too!
He's good at acting. In this drama, he's the young ML, an insufferable little brat.

no fantasy element, the reason for everything that happened on the island was supposed to be drugs. but I agree…
The writer made it slightly moral: they were all bad people following the scarlet letter. So they deserved to die quickly, while the 7 deserve a loooong torture before dying. I suppose it's the main plot. LOL.

Yeah, they are the baddest ones, so they survive. :-)
The plot is insane: for revenge, Matthew Lee make them kill 20+ people. Oo!!

It's probably on purpose the writer create some unrealistic surprises, and shocking ones. In interview, she admits she doesn't look for realism. And her dramas shouldn't be taken too seriously, it's dark-comedy.
But about logic, she's good at narrative logic. I mean the way the story is linked, cause to effect, everything make sens. You have an explanation for what happens. Even the grandpa gives one: he got 50 pins in the spinal column. :-D

Yeah, but the pregnancy and bridge fall are even more fantasy. ^^

They didn't saw the same. They speak about it in a scene: some saw pigs, other tiger, other wolf, etc. But it's a bit far fetched for the other stuff.

It's the "stoic bodyguard in love" trope. Ready to sacrifice himself for her, but never asking her to love him…
I think he's already in love. I don't know since when, but probably season 1, quite fast. The scene when she paints her eyes with blood and curse some people. Because there was a flashback of that scene in season 2. Well, maybe not fully in love, but it's the starting point, the moment of "wow! that woman!". Then he's asked to stick to her, so everyday he can see how wonderful she is. ahaha. ❀️

Is it a way to say us "prepare for unrealistic madness"?
Or almost a big gag, like when the MC change face in Last Empress?
I need to watch again episode 1, to check if we have some hint she's pregnant.
Gosh, where is the round belly?!??!??!??!??!??!??!?

I'm at half episode 3. And it's awesome!!!
I just can't stop, feeling to eat 5 stars gastronomy at each moment.

As I didn't read anything about the drama, I've no idea where it leads. Everything's unexpected.
Much scenes are powerful, high-impact dramatism.
All the satire and crazyness about media bullying.

It's a DREAM TEAM: Screenwriter Kim Soon Ok + Director Joo Dong Min.
The director is totally in the shoes of the writer and able to render her over-dramatism in a punchy way, as well to understand her sens of irony, self-parody, dark-comedy.

I just started. Halfway of episode 1.
Hwang Jung Eum have changed a lot since last time I saw her in a drama. Often comedy with some overacting. In this, she starts great about acting. What horrible character she plays.
About Yoon Jong Hoon, it's nice we feel his character is different from the Penthouse one.

HEY guysSince there is no new episode in two weeks lets talk about BRONZE AGE era?Its just a little thing that…
I made the search too. Yep. About -1000 BC. The writers are "historical drama specialists", so even in this slightly fantasy world, they can relate realistic points. However, as bronze age start about -3000 BC, I don't think making bronze weapons should be a secret recipe. But in this other world, everything's possible.

I watched full arthdal instead of completing Alchemy of soul. T T
No internet connexion last week, so I took what I had at home.
The pace is quite fast on this season. I've read here it's the last one. A bit sad about that, it was the kind of big sageuk needing at least 50h+. We don't get some like that since a few years.
