I hate to say it, but here we have a rare example of lazy writing. The writer had only set a small number of points each episode. Mainly the beginning and the cliffhanger, and a few foreshadowing elements.

Instead of working further on the outline to make sure the story was dense, the writer started writing, then was forced to fill in the missing content with tons of slow, pointless scenes and secondary characters. A completely superficial and empty process. Even amateurish screenwriters don't do that. Fan fiction level.

What make in the end an inconsistent and boring drama, where the writer has nothing to say.

The drama shoot itself a last bullet in the foot by using Deus Ex-Machinas.
Both for the vilain and the hero. Facepalm!

Please, stop being a hater of people coming here to give a honest opinion.

But I guess you are on the mission to spread fanatism for the drama.

You forget the obvious: this section is for everyone, positive AND negative comments.
It could be nice that the obssessed fans of the drama stop spamming here.
The drama is over, you liked it? Great, then move on. See? It works both ways.

This chinese newspaper resumes well my opinion. Yes 8.4 is still way too high.

Just move on yourself, and leave people who doesn't like it to give the necessary information for newcomers, so they aren't trapped by an utterly boring drama.

As expected, rating drops to 8.4.
New watchers are disappointed and find out they have been fooled by overhype, fake rating, non-sens comments, and dislike what we can call: the most mediocre kdrama since years.
