I'm happy most ppl agree with me. The story is going forward. We're getting to know more about the ppl. But almost everything you listed happened in the last episodes expect thing about former Hall director. But what I realised is that the writer obviously can't handle so many characters. The writer rarely shows us things about the other students. They are reduced being hostages thus they these characters are obviously wasted imo .Kinda sad I wanted to know more about them. I also can't feel any room 207 girls feelings from those 4 girls. Bc young roo is always somewhere else. Feels like she isn't a part of that room anymore. The writer just concentrates on like 5 characters sooho, young roo, boon Ok, director Pi, and yoo innas character. I may have forgotten a few. I think if young roo was not the female lead she also would not get that much screen time. I'm sorry but she's somehow a boring characters in this mess of complex characters. That's what i noticed. I just hope the writer won't push everything in a few episodes. But you are right we're slowly getting to know everything

Yes. I guess if it was a normal rom com I would have dropped it already. I've literally been hyped since day one but I kinda feel disappointed

It doesn't tho 😅 the guy who belongs to the 'police force' always unties himself after being captured of almost escaping. Then he's in another room than the students and after that he gets back with the students again. Young ro crying about sooho and sooho not knowing what to do with her bc of his crush plus she's getting an extra treatment bc of sooho. The othera hostages don't even get much screen time expect for like 5 ppl or sth. I wanted to know more about the students but every episode is roughly the same. And it's definitely not fast placed. It's slow we ofc get a plot and revelation but we are on ep 10 now. It still feels like ep 6 or sth. Just expected more with all this hype. Like I said it isn't a bad drama and I'm curious what will happen next. But with 6 episodes left and the situation hasn't evolved much just means that the ending will be too fast with everything solved or not solved. Maybe they should have put more action in the hostage situation. Its no hate so don't misunderstand me but the drama doesn't really live up to the hype it's getting. I think most ppl are just curious. That's my opinion tho and I actually expected sth more bc the writer holds the tension in sky castle from ep 2 until the end. Thought she would do the same here 😅

Just like another watcher already commented only the same things happen in the episodes. It's a freaking loop. It's not a bad drama. It makes you curious but actually expected more after all this hype. Also only get hooked on the 2nd part of the episodes idk why but the last few episodes been like that. The episodes are long but j feel like they are just wasting it especially with the wives who are obsessed with these 13 girls. Usually skip their scenes tho. The acting is great and at least we get to know more about the characters. The first few episodes were definitely stronger story wise. Lets see how it goes down with boon Ok changing sides now

Hmm. I just know that the drama must be aired between a certain time. For 2021 it was between June 2020 to May 2021 or sth. Maybe there's another criteria but it would be new for me

2022 but probably just baeksang since baeksang considers every drama that airs. The other awards are based on their perspective channel and their dramas. Like sbs drama awards, mbc or kbs. Those just nominate the dramas that aired on their channel

THANK YOU. It broke my heart when she said that nobody ever takes her side. Ppl always complain that she's annoying but god damn I also would behave that way when nobody ever takes my side. She's offensive like that not to get hurt. I cant understand why some ppl can't see that especially after the last episode. Everyone is also mad at her every time she complains about sooho doing a favour for young roo. It's her right tho. Why should young ro be treated with respect while she isn't or anyone else. I can fully understand her. Some ppl just want young ros and soohos romance to bloom but for them boon ok is a big burden for this romance and these ppl don't have any empathy for her. But if you analyse the whole situation from her pov she's in the right.

Is it normal for dramas to drop after it ended? :( I remember on MAL (myanimelist) fruits basket also dropped after being number 2 for a short while (and surpassing aot making aot fans offensive af)

Really congrats to the cast and crew who hot nominated for the SAGA awards. Imo squid game is not a bad drama. It's entertaining and makes you curious and maybe a little bit disgusted bc of the deaths. But it's not the best drama i watched. I read all over the internet from kdrama watchers the same. Its not the best drama ever made. So being nominated for such an award is ofc great but it proves the point that American award shows are mostly based on popularity. For example move to heaven deserved the same hype but it did not get it thus no big western nomination but I strongly believe both-MTH and Squid game - will be nominated for baeksang arts awards

Nahh idc if she's from a big group with a big fan base. Just give me a proper kiss scene 😩 I mean she's an adult. I think if it's REALLY bc of the fans then they should grow up. I also know that not every fan thinks like that tho. I also can imagine that producers who only want to have a good drama don't really care about fans. I think she's been caring since the beginning but like in a strictly kind of way. Now since they are in a life dangerous situation she seems more caring like a mum but I think she always sees the girls as her daughters. It's just being underlined more bc of the current situation. If she did nor care about the girls from the beginning, she would have escaped herself without the girls but she's trying to safe everyone. I also like her a lot. Her character is mysterious. She seems to have a secret past and is connected to the last dorm leaders suicide. How it looks like she could also be from the North. This woman just screams I AM MYSTERIOUS

Not all but as far as I remember the trailer most of the trailer. I could be wrong tho. But many ppl believed it would be a cute drama with a political issue bc of the trailer.

The trailers were also deceiving us tho. Most parts of the trailers were already in the drama

I actually can't explain it very well but you should definitely search for theories and hidden gems in this drama on twitter!there are many! What I found out is that she loved him but she was not willing to give herself up. As you could see that her only purpose was only to wait for him and stay beside him until her death. She was not able to leave the palace to have fun with her friends. Her friends were very distant from her even calling her 'Mama' (I hope I wrote it the right way) and not her name even tho she insisted on that. They used the formal form with her and not the informal form even tho she did not want that. They said bc she 'has a royal spouse in her'. Taking all her worth and reducing her to only the concubine she is and will be for ever until death. Not saying I love you back was a defence mechanism of hers. It was the only thing she could decide for herself. The only thing not making her go insane and not losing even the tiniest last part of herself. Did she really spent the night with him bc she wanted it or did she surrender? I think she loved him but surrendered at the end. She lost the game. And he did not understand what she gave up for him. Her whole life changed and he was not willing to know until he was old. Be it episode 16 or 17. I also think the line 'we are royal maids. We need to do what the royal highness orders us' (it's 100% not the exact line but sth like that) had a very big impact on her. She gave up and decided to be with him. There are more theories, tiny details in the drama that can't be seen just by one time watching so I'd recommend you to go on twitter. There are soooo many accounts doing threads on the drama and it's details. I think the details make this drama extraordinary. There are many even 10 episodes before the said scene even happens

Tbh you definitely are not rude. I had 'discussions' with more rude ppl tbh. Calling me a hater when I commented the mess with the ratings lmao. But you are right it's not a bad drama. It doesn't deserve anything under 8/10 imo. And I actually watched 5 season of money heist bc it was not boring. I think if I can do that, I I also can wtach snowdrop. I just was a little disappointed at first that the situation goes on for so long. Just expected sth else from the sky castle writer but maybe its a good thing she surprises the viewers and shows her versatility
