He goes on a killing spree to kill the guys that killed his family. The Emperor is furious and decides rather than killing him to send him to the border. End engagement. ♥

I don't know. We can only go by the novel but this series has major differences to the novel. We shall have to wait and see. ♥

He goes on a killing spree. He (LBY) kills the people who killed his family. The Emperor sends him away. (He's lucky he doesn't get killed). Engagement over and has to leave the city to the borders for 5 yrs. CSS gives up hope and an engagement is arranged for her. He does come back just in time.♥

The engagement of CSS and LBY. The case LBY is working comes to a head and tragic ending by LBY which causes the engagement to be off. CSS time with LBY and the Empress. Some time spend with Yuan Shen and CSS engagement to him. Return of LBY after 5 yrs. ♥

They won't be married for a while. There is a year engagement then something happens and LBY is sent away for 5 yrs. Not until almost the end of part 2. ♥

No one praises her except both LY and LBY. Is it that Mom can't see the good in her? CSS is a very caring person and smart too. Even her Dad didn't stick up for her. I would have done a side smack to stop her. CSS made a really good point if it was Yang Yang would the mother have run her down into the ground to stop an engagement. The resounding answer was no. I think a light went on with MOM. Too late though CSS has told them to butt out she will handle it going forward without their help.

The Emperor did give the parents an out by suggesting they could think about it. Mother didn't take it. The engagement does go on for a year. So they don't get married right away. That's okay cause CSS needs time to be with LBY to bond with him. Yes mother could have shown daughter more by example. Taught her how to behave in the palace instead of on the fly like she did. So many missteps by Mom. She has now driven her away. CSS will get what she needs from someone else.♥

He did want to propose to her but he did it sooner than he intended. That what's I think. He just wants to protect her from all the ridicule so moved his plans up for that reason. He does have compassion for her situation. He still has his on going investigation and I think he wanted to conclude that before proposing. As the story goes it will prove right to begin with. This will give them the chance to bond without ridicule.♥

Mob mentality. Pick on the weak. They may have their manners but have not a shred of compassion for anything other than themselves. ♥

I don't think he meant to propose at that time but was trying to protect her from "THE LADIES" ridicule of her. Rumors about the failed engagement abounding and all the nit picking going on about her. He shut their mouths. Now he can protect her. However, now the princess is after her for taking him away. Next part is her bonding with him.♥

I think SS saw the big picture and accepted. Her family would be in trouble for not accepting. Like she said who would marry me after being put on the spot? Next part is the bonding with LBY. Looking forward to that.♥

Yes SS saw the big picture. She doesn't realize what she got herself into but now she will be able to openly bond with LBY instead of all the secret chance meetings.♥

I think the Empress really admires SS. SS spoke her mind and actually was very diplomatic and realized the whole picture. SS calmly spoke her mind and overruled her parents.

What can I say? That was the most unromantic engagement I've ever seen. Talk about being put on the spot. I think he brought up his plan because he saw how she was being ridiculed by the "ladies". The "ladies" are sooo vicious. SS is not afraid of them and actually did nothing wrong they just attacked her for no reason other than she spoke her mind. Mom not realizing how brutal she was on SS really hurt her feelings and I think that's why SS accepted the engagement and over ruled her parents. SS doesn't realize what she got herself into. The only saving grace is LBY when he said he would marry no one but her. Next part is SS bonding with LBY and becoming his true love. ♥

My experience is 2 yrs honey moon phase. If you last 3 yrs then marry the guy. ♥

To me the show is fantastic. The first 5 episodes are about FL family. You will love them, laugh at them, even hate them. It's very well done and well worth the watch. Later on our heroine has some adventures and meets the 3 men who are destined to fall in love with her. Only one will prevail.♥

The grandmother only likes boys. That's one of the reasons why she wasn't taken care of properly. It will become clearer in later episodes. Keep watching.

You want to know something? I don't feel unloved because I loved back. I have not met my own soul mate. If I waited and waited and waited what kind of a life would I have had. Instead I have a beautiful family. My life was richer because I chose to love the one I'm with. Just be careful who you choose. Friends are good. Peace. ♥
