Ep 25 when LY said she was the best girl. Who said "shut up" and who said "of course". I played it twice but didn't figure it out.♥

Get through episode 5 it really picks up after that. First 5 are background on characters.

She is just over 15 yrs now. so add 5 yrs. About 20. Probably not at the beginning of Part 2 but by the later part.

If you like well developed characters, fun, intrigue, and great actors then by all means. Everyone who is seriously watching it is greatly enjoying it. ♥

It's my understanding it was arranged. (Empress ) We shall have to see how the script depicts it. As you know he has been attracted to her for a long time. hahahaha She must have finally come up to his standards. ♥

So how many times did you watch it to figure that out? It's not something I noticed. When they film they would do all the filming (usually) for that location where they are. So it could cast over years with costume changed to reflect the passing of time. << all filmed on same couple of days at that location. As to why side characters have the same costume I really didn't notice. What I do notice in a lot of C dramas they are not big on continuity. Like suddenly a character is in clean clothes when they lost their luggage or their hair is dry when they fell in the lake. Stuff like that. ♥

The writer of script has a very good insight to human nature. There are nuances that each character has that give this drama some depth of characters. I have not seen this for a long time at least with the 220 Chinese dramas I've watched. I've given up watching certain types as they keep repeating the story just with different characters. Some genres I just don't bother with any longer. ♥

Yes Immortal Samsara is same old, same old. Too bad. Not knocking it it's something to watch in between this one.

I think YD purposefully held back her skill so her sister could shine. Her sister knew that she was not the strong one from their youth. YD is effortless when she learns something new. YY recognized her strength and knew she would not learn in a conventional way. Hence the copying of all the manuscripts. He's sneakily teaching her. ♥

I don't think he meant to propose to her that day. The "ladies" made up his mind. So in front of all of them (left them fainting in the other room.) he declared his love and his vow to only marry her in this life. ♥

Yah I saw it in someones translation of novel after I wrote this. Interesting. It looks really heart breaking.♥

The parent arranged marriages are the worst. Especially with the princesses done for allegiance with other tribes, clans, for business purposes, political purposes. Still happens today. So it could be worse for CSS they could have married her off to some brute. At least so far she is choosing her own marriages to some degree. ♥

It's called a trope. Piggy back rides, the stumble, falling in water, and many more are through out Chinese Dramas. Watch for it. *smiles. ♥
