Yehua is in league with Yi Fan who wants to harm the current regime/family in power. ZiJin was actually promised to become Princes consort but the He family took over with their candidate. Now there is a wimpy empress who doesn't want to be there. Zijin would have preferred to not be a consort after she worked in the food services. Even though she was trained to be a consort. She wanted top spot with the prince or nothing. The prince stated he could not change how things worked out and depose the current crown princess/empress as she did nothing wrong. Any ways later she does become the Royal consort but butts heads with the prince/emperor don't know how it ends yet. ♥

Did you notice Empress Hu is not feeling well and is hiding her sickness? I think this is how Zijin becomes Empress. ♥

Zijin wants the Emperor to fight for her but he has to walk a fine line. The Dowager Empress wants to punish Zijin for interfering with her plan to get rid of Concubine Guo. Zijin is setting boundaries. The Dowager Empress knows full well that the Emperor likes Zijin and would definitely have children with her. However, the only way Zijin has to prevent being killed if anything happens to the Emperor is to have his child. Did you notice the Empress is not well. She is hiding her sickness. And the plot goes on. ♥

Up to ep 29 not really feeling it with series. Writing? Director? The acting is just okay. I'm kinda disappointed. Hopefully the next 11 episodes heat up a bit. ♥

Love her moves around his affections. She lets him know her boundaries. Men have to defend their special women not treat them like the rest. Good move on her part.♥

Love that Xiao Zhan sings the opening song. His voice is soooo mellow. So far so good. ♥

Yah somebody in history doesn't like women for sure. All women are repressed in ancient times. Makes you wonder why. We are the creators and should be treated way better today and in the past. Who wrote that script about women long ago. Inquiring minds want to know how this could have happened. ♥
