Her former kingdom of Chu was caught up in the territory grab for the Qin dynasty. Chu was not a really powerful state to begin with. Yes Xu Xiao's army for the emperor at the emperors command would have been involved. She just needs to vent her anger at still being alive, when all her family was killed. So she goes after the weakest (supposedly) as she can't fight the General or the Emperor. We shall see if she grows out of her hatred. ♥

The father took on some adopted sons. There are 2 girls and 2 boys in ML's family. ML being the eldest boy. The others are adopted and not related.

ML's father is masterfully leading to ML inevitable take over. It looks like he is doing what he wants to do but the father is setting up every scenario. Yo teach him and lead him to his own conclusions which lines up with his father's views. Well written.♥
