I tried to look up but found no info. From the series baixi means they are magically connected. When the emperor gets hurt Jianming also gets hurt. Probably a protection ritual. ML's family has always been the baixi for the emperors. For protection of the Emperor. Hope this helps. ♥

There are 4 basic groups of couples. There are several love triangles with the lead character. A lot of tragic endings for some of the couples. The ML's master ends up being a bad guy who is full of himself. The ML and FL after much tragedy end up together to build a new world. ML is from a justice type clan and FL is from a evil clan. Though their characters are both kind and understanding. Lots happens in this drama. Basically it's a good watch. Has fun moments and tragic moments. Lots of fight scenes. Complex plot to explain in a chat session. Best to watch if you feel so inclined. Love and Peace. ♥

Too many people know Haishi is a woman. The emperor is going to be pissed when he finds out. I can envision the torture of Jianming now.

When he took Haishi in he was not very old. He was 17 when the rebellion took place. Haishi was 12 to 14 and he is only around 19 - 20 when he took her in. He is very smart and accomplished for a young age. So you might say they are raised together. He swore to the emperor that he would not marry and have children. So we shall see what happens. Haishi is now in their late teen - early twenties and late 20's pushing 30 for Jianming. Still babes in the woods. Such are the times they are living in. Everyone grows up fast.

Ep 19 - 20 just moving the chess pieces around. The only movement on relations is mostly the Emperor and the Princess. Boundaries set and the pieces are set up on the board. Which way will they move?

I guess I forget that there are younger people who have not had to face in their lives the painful loss and sadness over and over when loosing loved ones. My heart is toughened but I still enjoy the tearful moments in the dramas. It is a release of empathy. Happy drama watching.♥
