- ep 11&12 was an emotional rollercoaster. XHT + YXG are so aesthetically pleasing together and you know what i'm talking about lol. also did not expect lusun cp to go that far. - xianggu cp really influence and complete each other in such a beautiful way. very evident character growth for both of them, was so proud of YXG when he stood up to XHT's parents. - but seriously though i think this series has the most natural acting out of all of the HIStory's.
ep7&8... did not expect LZG to accept SBX so fast... and i wish YXG was the one who personally told XHT about his situation. it seems like YXG forgave XHT way too fast if scholarship money was that important to him. still, i love how supporting the friends are, their scenes add a lot to the show.
-- ok wow i think this is my fav HIStory so far. ep 5&6 was a big turning point-- XHT's confusion, realisation + confession, and finally an insight to LZG's thoughts on SBX and their contrast in maturity. -- i love the bond between XHT & SBX. although i didn't expect XHT to confess this early (whipped XHT is too cute), his + SBX's actions remind ppl that this is a young-spirited, cute + humorous school drama. their refreshing innocence + brave impulsiveness makes up this whole show & helps to deliver the message that you love who you love and should just go for it. -- although YXG broke my heart at the end, i'm glad that XHT is now aware of his situation. i hope this will lead to better understandings and move their relationship forward. -- also it was cute how they referenced the show's title 那一天 (that day) lol.
normally i prefer the second cp but this time xianggu cp is stealing my heart..... i really like the two actors, they have great chemistry together and are super funny and honest. they're quickly becoming my favourite cp out of the whole HIStory series.
go watch their live-stream with jesse tang if you haven't yet... really funny + so many moments had me squealing at their cuteness. they also share some mini spoilers + behind the scenes stories that will make you super excited for the next episodes --- https://www.facebook.com/JesseTang11/videos/411443419782460/
I think the problem here is so many people still don't wanna give this show a go because of the actors' looks.…
i agree with you. as soon as the trailers came out there were comments that criticised their looks + compared them to previous casts. i've always knew the chinese community focused a lot on appearance but being chinese myself i thought the casts for MODC are good-looking...… and yes it annoys me so much bc i'm not saying you shouldn't be critical at all (that's how stuff can improve) but criticising looks is absolutely ridiculous. i feel bad for the actors bc of the limited hype + promotion, and i think we should just be grateful that any bl's are even coming out at all.
Ehh, I don't buy any of the theories. Even Trapped, the one with gangsters ad death, was mostly over the top and…
the theory ppl have is that he will probably develop some type of illness due to malnourishment or something which was possibly foreshadowed in his convo w school doctor etc...
unpopular opinion but i prefer the acting in this compared to other HIStory's.... no cringe acting so far & every character is natural + convincing, maybe animated at times but they're teenagers & this is supposed to be more of a light-hearted, humorous school drama. also ppl were so quickly to dismiss MODC after Trapped but you have to admit that as good as Trapped was, it was placed on this high pedestal bc of the "untypical" + "exciting" plotline, and faults that ppl would normally find for other bl's were ignored for Trapped. although it's the same series, i just wish more ppl would give MODC a chance & stop comparing so much bc the storylines are completely different.
LOL I thought it too, but I believe it's cause chineses pronoums are gender neutral, so they only would have known…
haha yeah well i’m a native chinese speaker so it was definitely more amusing to hear that part in chinese bc ‘he/she/it’ all have the same sound but are written differently.
lol am i the only one who thought sun bo xiang was openly gay?... but srsly though that scene outside the soymilk store was so nice + heart-warming.... yeah xiang hao ting is childish and annoying but he is such a good friend and you can tell he has a good heart.
also huang juan zhi is perfect as yu xi gu, very convincing and makes you sympathise with him.

i don’t necessarily think it’s gonna be a sad ending per se but i think yu xi gu’s potential illness will challenge their relationship.... and i mean there has to be some angst right lol.
i think the theories are highly likely not just because of the ominous title + the infirmary scene, but also the trailer was mostly cute so i wouldn’t be surprised if they threw a curveball at us. maybe they will prove those who dismissed this as a “typical school drama” wrong.
also i’m probably reading too much into this but in the live-stream they did wei en introduced yu xi gu as xiang hao ting’s "dream", which could be quite open to interpretation.
