Itās good if you watch it on a Friday or Saturday night, like I did. The characters are interesting, and the story develops well. Sometimes itās fun and bold, although a bit predictable. If you donāt want to think too much, itās perfect. Conclusion: I liked it, but only for a weekend night.
I loved the series, but i found the last 7/8 episodes a bit boring. I didn't fell there was good development character for Changyu, especially her personality. After everything that happened, she still felt the same. And Qi Min was defeated by 2 arrows? A man who could stop them with his hands in other scenes. I didn't believe it at all, I excepted a more intense and dramatic fight. Aside from these points, the series was exquisite.
What is initial D, I see people emntion it but I don't get it
It's an old anime called Initial D. The car AE86 that appears in the series is the same car used by the character Takumi. In ep. 5, San Lai mentioned it š
Finished. It's been a long time since a series made me feel like this. I went through every emotion, watching it felt like an exciting roller coaster. Both of them were INCREDIBLE. Their chemistry was so realistic that i got completely hooked, watching one episode after another. This drama felt like a kiss to my soul.
The Initial D reference was exquisite. I actually screamed when AE86 appeared.
P.d.: Zhao was so gorgeous. I need to rewatch the scenes where He was a mechanic š
I recently finished it. The drama was good and just that. I gave it a 7.5 because of the lack of the plot. Some of episodes felt like a filler, you could have skipped a few episodes or fast-forwarded through some scenes and it wouldn't have made any difference. The serie was saved by its 90's visuals, the performances of most of the cast (except the FL), and some genuinely funny moments.
One moment that felt random and isolated to me was when Ma-Jin made misogynistic comments toward Mi-Seon and Tae-Poong did nothing about it. It felt out of character for him. Why would he let Ma-Jin cross the line with her over and over again?
About ML and FL relationship: I didn't feel any chemistry between the ML and the FL. Junho was incredible, his role reminded me a bit of PSJ in Itaewon Class. It was enjoyable to watch him go through all the situations and problems. However, Kim Minha was COMPLETELY annoying to me. She had the same facial expression for happiness, sadness, surprise, shyness so I couldnāt connect with her character or feel any empathy. It felt the same way when I watched her in 'Pachinko'. I don't dislike her, but maybe she's better suited for other type of roles.
16 episodes were bit too long, it should have been shorter.
P.d.: Iām from Argentina, so Iām very familiar with how terrible IMF involvement can be for a country and its society. The drama portrayed this really well, you can truly feel how hard life becomes for working-class people under such an economic crisis.
The drama was overall good, although some scenes felt unnecessarily long, which is why I rated it an 8. I really liked Xiao Tung, Ren Yao, and Yun Chen. I was confused by Xiao Tungās different personalities and storylines. How was she able to work at the radio station while also being a directorās assistant at the same time? I feel like I missed an explanation.
The drama portrays reality in a very raw way. Unfortunately, cases of violence and abuse like this still exist, and society is divided between those who care and those who choose to look away. Some scenes were so realistic that I couldnāt watch them. I felt deeply sorry for Xiao Tung, and also for Ren Yao. His relationship with his father was painful to watch. I donāt understand why some people decide to have children and then end up abusing them. Ren Yaoās mother was the most frustrating character for me. Despite living in the same abusive environment, she abandoned her son and kept returning to the abuser, even after he hurt their child. Sadly, this reflects the cycle of violence.
In the end, did she commit suicide? I was also curious about what was written in the letter.
What was the plot of this drama? I was expecting more development around the third floor, the psychiatric hospital, and the ex-wife. All the doors were opened, but nothing came of them. The MDH arc was a waste of time. Idk⦠it started well, but the last three episodes were awful. At least my 2 fav character were Kim Jae Oh and Le Na, they were incredible. I was hoping they would end up together and take revenge on Jin A š
4 am finished the drama, I started yesterday. It was captivating, not the best story, but a good one. Everyone knows some case of violence or abuse, but not everyone knows how to act or confront it. Eun Su and Hui Si's reactions were the most realistic. Hui Si faced the truth and she broke the cycle with Eun Su's help, who also did the same. I was happy when they beat that bastard. I loved Eun Su's role in this drama, as well as Jin So Baek's too.
Pd.: Remember, friends will always save you, you are not alone. Please, If you are going through any kind of violence, ask for help. There's always someone who will listen and help you.
I expected the drama to be more of a thriller or suspense story. I was looking for something with revenge, like 'The Glory' or kind of. But I decided to give it a chance, even though I didn't like most of the secondary characters, they were annoying and cringy. Yeong Ran's acting is truly captivating, and so are Seon Yeong and Lee Don's.
The last scene of episode 10 was predictable from the start, so I hope there's another plot twist to surprise me at the end.
At least, please Dong Min stop treating yr child like an object.
This has lost me a bit. Why as a single parent who you risk injury and leave your child to help someone you do…
I asked myself that too. It was so unrealistic. In what situation would you leave your child and travel to Seoul 4 hours just to tell yr not even gf 'i love you'? And in the harbor scene, how could he not even think about his own child before letting himself look like a killer just to protect her?
Conclusion: I liked it, but only for a weekend night.

Conclusion: An OK drama, mainly to pass the time.

I can't stand it.
