Xiang zhong went to his uni and created a ruckus, ppl made his video which went viral, he was removed from giving valedictorian speech, all uni ppl gossiped about him then the vice chancellor with whose daughter he had an affair told him he sent his daughter abroad and to never contact her again and take his belongings and leave his place. While he was moving out je ended up fighting with a youtuber or streamer ig and ended up with a police case and in jail. For bail he needed 300000 or smth yuan and police called Xiang qian about it. She told them to do what they want and that they are divorcing. So Gao ping was in jail for more days. Then Xiang qian got to know his aunt was selling her house for Gao ping's bail. Then she sent her lawyer to make Gao ping sign divorce papers and also tell him that the 200000 yuan she offered that Li shu returned she will give to him. So that went for his bail and he came out of prison looking haggard and saw his aunt waiting for him crying. Both cried and she said lets go back to our village or hometown and they both started walking towards there i guess. Thats how it ended for him

So i watched without the subs. Xiang nan got divorced and Jiang Hongbin is arrested and serving. Chai Jin got kind of into some financial crime due to Jiang Hongbin's scheming (i am not entirely sure) and was arrested and had to serve some time in prison. Xiang Qian waited for him and welcomed him back when he was released. I truly didn't understand if they got involved romantically or not without English subs. Xiang Zhong got together with Deng Hai Yang and they were both happy and ending scene showed us her being pregnant being taken care of by her husband and family and everyone looking happy and smiling

He was a good guy but let's be honest Xiang Zhong was being wishy washy and her ex husband and her own parents were blaming and harassing the guy which is why he left plus he felt that he isn't at the stage in life to be able to take care of xiang zhong well. I sincerely wish at the end of the show we see them meeting each other again and dating instead of her going back to her sh*t husband

Oh god Xiang Zhong deserves better. The mother in law is crazyyyy and Deng Haiyang still defends her after seeing Xiang Zhong cry so much. Wang Yuxi also left :( I wanted him to get together with her but my god the writers hate my girl Xiang Zhong so much. Only pain for her. Wang Yuxi and Xiang Zhong had sooo much chemistry. Like they were made for each other. Writers I won't forgive you for this. The dad constantly blaming her is pissing me off as well

Can you tell me where I can read the novel with English translation ? I watched both seasons and honestly both the male lead actors did an amazing job but my favorite is Sonh Yiren. I am not fond of small cute actresses who act all innocent but Yiren is so good at portraying her characters and this drama is definitely my fav one from Yiren. Her acting is so natural. Arthur Chen and Dylan Wang were really good too. Both of them portrayed their version on Ning que really well. Ever night 1 and 2 both are really good dramas. I am sad how people didn't give it a chance because of cast change. I am not fond of cast change too but I absolutely loved the second season. Can't wait for 3rd season. I hope it's the same cast as 2nd season or atleast keep Song Yiren as Sang sang please
