I'm on episode 8 and to my misfortune. I liked Princess Huaiqing. I would definitely like to see her with ML. (Speaking about the characters, not about the actors. I'm a big fan of FL). I didn't like pairing the characters from FL with ML, they are very similar. It's like putting two pieces of lemon pie together, they are the same thing, they don't complement each other. But at no point am I badmouthing the characters, they are great and very entertaining. Just an opinion. I think it would be a better pairing between Princess Huaiqing with her sharp, methodical and political personality, and ML's laid-back and unpretentious way. Even though I'm rooting for the wrong couple, the series is very entertaining, it's been a long time since I've seen a C drama that I liked so much.

That was disgusting. This garbage, to be minimally acceptable, should have an ending where ML suffers. there is no reason in the world to excuse such behavior, just terrible.
In episode 3 ML pretending to be silly in front of FL, in episode 4 it starts with him trying to seduce FL. all narcissistic and full of himself. it doesn't make any sense. the plot is very inconsistent. π
