K-Drama Poor script holding up by Pretty Cast
If you can make it past the first 8 episodes, this drama becomes a decent visual treat. ML/FL are still gorgeous together with their 2nd collaboration, the supporting cast is highly attractive, and the high production value shines through the stunning costumes. It is an enjoyable watch as long as you leave your logic at the door.
However, seasoned C-drama viewers with higher expectations will likely find this drama frustrating:
• Unlikable Characters: The character setups make it difficult to root for them right from the start.
• Poor Audio Mixing: The background music sometimes overpowers the dialogue, making it hard to hear the actors' line delivery.
• Weak Romance 2nd couple: The emotional "connections" rely entirely on slow-motion shots and bright lighting rather than genuine substance.
• Weak Romance FL/ML: There is no logical reason for the ML to be into the FL even by ep 8. The script and dialogue just don't have the spark to pull you in, even if you don't compare it to Blossom.
So watch it if you love the cast but story wise I doubt you'll remember anything a month after.
