It's kind of like there's a story between the ending of Untamed and this movie wherein Wen Ning learned to be…
I dont know the intent...if it was for fanservice of Wei and Lan...maybe fans got disappointed that they did not appear. (Tho Wei Ying did)

Personally, my fav character of the story in the original drama is Wen Ning. I was so happy for a movie with him in the main cast. But the whole story just felt so random, unrelated and lacking...

I understand that the time skip, Wen Ning is supposed to grow more confident and all. But it just jumped into it... and for me it felt like Wen Ning wasnt quite Wen Ning at all.
It would have been a lot more interesting and meaningful if they would make a story telling how Wen Ning managed to grow from how he was by the end of Untamed to this character developemnt. Instead of a random insert storyline like this one...

The only thing I am happy about (being a fan) is to see more of Yubin :3
But the movie itself... was just meh.

Just watched the movie. Honest... it was not as good as I have expected.
I really love Yubin (Wen Ning) So I really looked forward to this movie. But somehow it just did not feel like his usual character from the Untamed.

He was always stuttering, lacking the confidence and a bit clumzy. Even if there is supposed to be a change in that part. I have hoped to see this development progress in the movie. That is the main drawback.

Secondly, the story in itself... just felt way too unrelated. It was not something that shows a deeper relation to Wen Ning in my opinion...

There is nothing wrong with the acting part tho. Love Yubin. It is just the story that has been lacking. The voice, I believe may have been dubbed. Gives a different vibe than the version from Untamed.
