Very disappointed . I have expected the goblin kind of drama. But it is not even close..
Thanks for this. I was getting discouraged from watching by the negative comments, but I didn’t enjoy Goblin so I will at least give this a try. I’d forgotten that Goblin has become many viewers standard for greatness over the last few years.

May be in the minority, but I liked the focus on Pil-gu this week.I'm not without my criticisms with the Joker…
Also people throw around the word noble idiocy too much. This was a very honest breakup, she didn't try to hide how much it hurt. Even in their breakup, I enjoy how vulnerable and sweet this couple is with each other.

May be in the minority, but I liked the focus on Pil-gu this week.

I'm not without my criticisms with the Joker plot, though I feel part of why it was "underwhelming" for me is because the drama finally got into the issues with Pil-gu that I actually cared about. It was like by the time he got caught, I already realized that Pil-gu would be the biggest hurdle for them and that catching Joker wouldn't suddenly make the real life problems go away. I have a feeling we will learn more about Joker next week and finally get our closure for Hyang-mi.

What makes this drama awesome is what it brings out in its characters, like how all of them worked together in this week's eps. I admit, the main disappointment was seeing the energy of the first part of ep 17 with the Ongsan Avengers fade when Pil-gu's drama took over, especially since seeing that atmosphere may have made him feel differently. I just find it annoying that Pil-gu wasn't given (or has been closing himself off from?) a chance to appreciate the positive changes that have occurred since Yong-shik entered their lives.

As hard as it was to watch, I'm glad Deok-sun's hypocrisy has had such a heavy price, though I'm upset that Pil-gu had to pay it. To be honest, Deok-sun, as of now, is the reason I'm accepting of Dong-baek's breakup. Like, the whole reason she kept Pil-gu out of Jong-ryeol and his mother's grasp is because she wanted him to feel like a gift, not a burden. If it hadn't been for those words, I honestly think both Pil-gu and Dong-baek would have been able to overcome their issue.

Really though, all three of them are at fault on some level and poor Yong-shik, after how much love he's given all three of them, had to suffer the most. All of them better make it right!

It's still good and high quality and all, but I just wished they did not extend it and kept with the original…
It actually was always planned for 20 eps though. The production clarified that reports were false and that they never got an extension.

They have been building up the issues with Pil-gu for a while and I'm glad they aren't brushing over his problems.

i coudn't even watch the 15-16 episode skip most of it...i thought it would end, it's draggy, such a dissapointment…
To each their own. I think it's getting better and better. The storytelling is very well thought out imo. The relationships, especially between Dong-baek and her mother, have been very well fleshed out in the last 4 episodes.
