What I'm gonna say won't be justifiable. The Indian movies tend to have these item songs where female actors dance to peppy beats with revealing dresses, now those scenes don't even add anything to the story and I was always bothered how could only female actors are given such scenes. It was interesting to see the Kdramas where men are in more revealing scenes. Personally, I'm not a fan of it. But if had to choose between women or men's skinshow, then I would rather choose men's.
If we were to qualify a person's actions by a single yardstick, it would end up being only biased. I liked Run Yu from the beginning until I ended up dropping it around 35 ish episode. Here, I'm not going to put my reasons for why I liked RY ( I personally believe Run Yu was twisted later on - the writer's thoughts " oh we need a villain, a scapegoat, to support our main couple. Let's make the SL do all the dirty work, to justify everything") but why I didn't like XF nor JM. I didn't care much for how their (love) story unfolded henceforth either.
The reason is I couldn't bear through XF's actions. Because of his words, "if he could just have JM, he doesn't want anything else." Now, I get it he didn't have a pitiable backstory and he always had his Mama to support him, but If I remember very clearly he was the one who was actually behaving as " I haven't lived my life happily so far, I would be happy if I had JM" It was quite disappointing to see him give up everything he had for his feelings. I would like to quote " With great power comes great responsibility" his willingness to abandon his responsibilities as future heir, was the seed of my dislike for the main lead. I don't mean that he should discard his feelings, just that he didn't try to think as future heir first. Secondly, Their "lovemaking" night, as pointed by others JM was delirious to make a consent. Additionally, even if the JM was willing to, XF should have realized that JM was already engaged to his brother (inconsequential of either a good or bad way) and shouldn't have done it out of respect and love for his brother ( I wonder if he really had any love for his brother, oh yeah he said "I had always given you what I got for me, shared my things with you" to RY) (Like second handing his stuff, oh yeah he did actually secondhand her, Haha) Thirdly, his ( intentional ?) neglect to the mistreatment of his brother, honestly I really really doubt whether he really considered him as his brother, how he initially doubted him to be the one to disturb his nirvana. Neither did he looked out for his brother. Few are saying RY had mental issues. Really if someone had mental issues, they won't be screaming out "help me" but it is the responsibility of people around them to look out for them, in this case, which can be done by XF only. As much as my memory had stored the actions XF, I was able to reason out. Now, moving on to JM. Before, that speaking of how RY manipulated JM to confess "her feelings" for engagement, it reminds me of how she talked out "her initial father" to give her energy ( phew! everybody had tricks up their sleeves) all I could remember her being flipping on-off naivety like she is willing to read out the situations sometimes and sometimes not. I don't even wanna bother to give instants of her doing it. ( maybe she was selfish too, ) Additionally, her flipping on-off action of love pill. ( it was pretty inconsistent) ~~~ If one begins to scrutinize the drama intently in a rational and objective fashion, one would find each of the three characters is flawed, twisted, and desire-driven. XF and JM end up together not because they are "good people" or greater and evolved ( who knew about "love") beings; just that they "desired" each other. As for RY, he had his own actions, but he wasn't any "bad" than them.
Thoughts after ep4 : what's with the epilogue?! Why does the ceo looks like he is wearing heavy makeup and his face looks so ashen?! As an actor, i really liked him in My holo love but in this role his acting seems very forced. Also the romance between her and young guy gives off KMHM's her and PSJ chemistry.
Am I the only one who thinks she has been low key stalking him remember how the moment he put that part timer wanted sign she walked in confidently... as if she was waiting for it...like many have said the kiss scene is pretty inappropriate not because of she is high school kid even if it where 2 grown up adults it would be inappropriate as no sane person would walk up to a guy on street kiss him....
This is one of the shows you could come home to after a tiring day at work and watch without disappointment and effort. It is good but nothing special, nothing worth reminiscing about.
5 seconds into this article and my mind is screaming "Baka" in Tendo's voice. If you know what I mean, @Peppersqueak. Loved your first article. Sometimes the close-up shots seemed a bit cringy but I couldn't stop grinning. Now, I too wanna write an article!

Thank you for taking such efforts to write a unique article. I too thought there was way too much mouse clicking in Go go squid...
