I don’t think the synopsis above is very accurate compared to how the story actually unfolds. It looks like it was written based on the pilot trailer, while the final show ends up making some changes.
I am watching EP 1’s FL drinking poison scene again, FL’s acting is so on point and mesmerizing. She is very talented, I could feel how her life had been through right away, her tone, mannerisms, emotions, voice control… what the actress she is 👏
I’ve been waiting for this for so long, and it’s finally coming out. Gosh, the timing is not ideal, but still, let’s just enjoy this peacefully. The trailer looks so good, and Newwie is so beautiful <33 I can’t wait.
It's the reason how I'm losing interest in k-dramas these days. In k-dramas, they mocked Africa. They mocked black people, they mocked dark skin, they mocked certain races and ethnicities all the time, they mocked the religion, they mocked other people's values. Koreans are living in bubbles, think the world revolves around them, and they could disrespect anything until it's not their own.
If you might not know, this writer, Kim Eun Sook is the highest paid and the most respected k-drama scriptwriter in South Korea. She is considered as the legend in her field and always ranked in Top 10 celebrity list. Many the k-drama actors want to work with her. The actor agencies also try hard for their rookies/less known actors to be casted in her dramas even as support insignificant roles. I can't believe this drama is written by someone like her 😪😮💨 KES lost her magic.
Yeah.. because of Netflix and OTT networks taking over, viewers are also getting used to with this format and…
Same for me as well. I don't follow k-dramas these days. I just came here because Lee Jaewook is one actor I love to watch. Global audience think now that k-drama world revolves around Squid Game and these Netflix k-drama agendas. I really miss the good old days of k-dramas ... only with big 3 (MBC, KBS, SBS).. even TVN and JTBC came later.

I know that. K-drama viewers these days prefer to watch an original Netflix drama release all 12 episodes at the same day, than waiting for every week till 8 weeks (2 episodes per week) format. Netflix/western format is ruining the k-drama magic. Actors also prefer to take Netflix's productions than lower budget, longer dramas.
Yeah.. because of Netflix and OTT networks taking over, viewers are also getting used to with this format and being impatient with 16 episodes long. It's also less expensive to make for k-drama production companies while being more focused on quality production.
No one said about the two lead actors that much yet. I would say their pairing is so good. The top-tier aura of Liu Shi Shi and the charismatic presence of Leon Zhang works very well together. I'm impressed.
Not just too many guest stars are selling well, the two main leads's interactions and chemistry is really great here. That's definitely an upgrade from red-moon pact.
