Just finished the drama. The extreme believers, like Kang and SangMi's dad should have been arrested altough I…
I was thinking exactly the same thing as I finished the drama!!!!! But as I think about it now, there was no evidence against those two. As the cops kept saying in the drama, religion and law are a very messy mix (even in my country, it's very easy to see these kind of things happening). But yes, I really really wanted them behind bars. And I also very much agree about the reporter.
As much as I love watching people getting happy sweet getaways, this whole episode after the last one is stretching it. Dunno if this was the original plan or something they had to alter due to the current circumstances, it kinda puts me off of the series. There is no consistency in the plot, or the storylines of the individual characters...... While the acting is really good and all the emotions are being brought out so well by the actors, that can't carry the whole series.
Just a small warning........ Do not watch Part 2 in public. You'll be bawling like a baby. Actually to be safer, just lock your door, get under the blanket and cry your heart out. I know my heart is out & ripped to pieces.
It's up on LINE TV though.... So we can catch it there now! So Yay!!!
The international links should work for most people, but yeah unfortunately many can't. Just thought I'd mention it, for those who can. Otherwise, it's okay, we've waited 8 days, what's 2 more hours?
Did Fight's Dad really say 'You know I'm dating Hwa's Mom, right?' ?????????? Or is it just a mistake in the subs? ....... That whole part had me going 'Say Whaaaaaat?'
I really love this show..... Some of the acting is incredible. And I really like the concept of the whole rebirth stuff (though the overlapping familial relations makes my head spin)................ It has its plus points and its flaws which probably varies a lot based on people's tastes, But I don't think anyone would against the fact that the series moves incredibly slow. It's become normal for me watch it at the 2x speed, slowing down only at some particularly impactful scenes. 17 episodes are too many for the plot OR more suitably the extent of the story is too less for 17 episodes. It could have included WinxTeam's story without any problem whatsoever.
The only problem I have with the show is probably how they handled the Abusive Father. I know him getting Cancer and all that is Karmic Justice and stuff, but otherwise speaking, I was very disappointed in how people interacted with him and their reaction with the situation. 'Oh! Si-On got abused at the hands of his father for 8 years which was so traumatic for him that it made him suppress the memories for the next 20 years? Oh, poor Si-On! What a tragedy!'.............. And that's it! That was extent of the reaction. There were no other repercussions! It was almost as though they were aiming for us to sympathise with him at the end. That man was a piece of shit who didn't deserve any kind of respect/sympathy and what superficial redemption he was going for at the end was driven by his desire for a little bit of piece of mind for himself.Other than this, I really really love this show <3<3
I quite enjoyed reading your review ㅋㅋ Even though I don't feel quite that strongly towards most of the points I still agree with them. Especially, the bully turned boyfriend trope. It was so abrupt, it gave me a whiplash. Frankly the only thing I felt during beginning episodes including the start of when Haoting was wooing ShiGu was 'Please, for the love of god, leave the poor boy alone!' After that though, I felt the series was growing on me a little, but then, Bam! The ending happened! ( Can't wait for you to write about that!! ;-P) I just dropped the last 2 episodes after reading about what happened and I'll just imagine they ended the series when they both moved into their apartment and none of the bullshit later happens.
Lol boy you such a whiner. First true I wasn't expecting A-Yuan use his Guqin as a baseball bat I found it quite…
First of all, I've already mentioned that I was nitpicking at things when wrote that comment.
As for the guqin thing, it was funny and it would've stayed just that if it was meant as comedic relief in the movie. But it wasn't, so it bothered me the same way it bothers me when someone smashes a guitar or something.
The same with the Wuji music, because I love the original sooooooo much.
And when the painting was revealed, I was just pointing out that it was a wasted opportunity for a plot twist. It would've made more sense if it contributed to when Wen Ning realised the truth at the end.
Also as you say, I do miss the other Lan Disciples and showed them working on the tombs for the people of Wen sect.
I know this movie has it's problems, some of thr major ones being Wen Ning's character development, the use of Yin Iron and the rushed storyline. But you know what bothered me the most??????
SiZhui using the Guqin to thrash the fierce corpses!!!!!! It's not a baseball bat! The only one we've seen using the chord assassination is Lan Zhan. SiZhui hadn't really learnt it yet in The Untamed. You remember how majestic (I can't think of any other word????) Lan Zhan looked when he played hus Guqin and sent off the chords towards his enemies?? Now, let's think Lan Zhan taught SiZhui (he totally would have). I really, really really don't think he told him 'Keep playing it as much as you can, but when the opponent gets closer, just smash his head with it!' (To an EDM Music Score nonetheless) I was cringing so hard at this!!!
Also let's look at the plot twist. I don't about others, but it was kinda obvious when Xiao Yi was telling the story that it wouldn't be that simple, right? We can't just have the straightforward villain and this scared goody-two-shoes who was conveniently placed there so our protagonists could get the story. Right? So..... When the Zhou person (I keep forgetting his name, I'm so sorry) died and Wen Ning realised Xiao Yi was lying about something and they were doing a close up on his face, I was totally expecting Xiao Yi's expressions to drastically change from the scared victim to a cunning villain or something. That would've been something, right? But, no. We got a second flashback of the girl being thrown into the fire and screaming. What difference did this part of the plot make????? (TBH I was kinda tired of seeing the girl screaming the exact same way 3 times????)
Moving on to Wei WuXian's appearance, it was kinda nice to see that. 'Cause Wei Ying would totally say those words to Wen Ning. He didn’t like it when Wen Ning underestimated or belittled himself. And it was sweet that Wen Ning realised that and could draw some strength from his words. But the WuJi playing in the background, though it gave me the ultimate feels, it was kinda disappointing too. Whatever changes they made to the music, in my opinion, made it a little........ Ummm what's the word.... Stale?
And what was that place???????? The one where Xiao Yi hangs at the end surrounded by volcanoes and stuff??? Weren't they supposed to take him back to GusuLan to be put on trial or something?
Ufff! I did not expect this to get this long! Some of these nitpicky things are only a problem because we have such strong love for the main storyline and the characters. Other than that, it was nice to see Wen Ning and SiZhui back and in action.

Also, why are the emojis getting turned into Question marks????????
