After watching 4 episodes I can tell the team worked hard on it. They are faithful to the novel and all the actors are doing a good job.
BUT... I think the show would benefit not following the source material completely or trying to make some small changes cos some scenes do draaaaaaaag a lot making it BORING to watch. Which is weird cos it has all the element to be super entertaining. The editing might be the main problem... hope the can fix it in the episodes to come. Anyway good story so far. Chemistry between the couples is on fire. My favourite couple is WinTeam

THIS EPISODE KILLED ME! AM TYPING FROM THE GRAVE NOW. THE AMOUNT OF GASPS, SCREAM AND WAILS THAT CAME OUT FROM ME TODAY IS UNIMAGINABLE. MY MUM THOUGHT I WAS GOING MAD! THIS EPISODE WAS SO SO SO SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Between Mew writing such a heartfelt birthday wish to Gulf and this episode, I don't know what shooked me more. All i know is this huge grin on my face is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Well Go Nam Soon and Park Heung Soo in school 2013 are basically married so I can forgive that lol!

This episode was so good and such a rollercoaster. One minute i was laughing and the other I was screaming. Type's confession of jealousy was heartwarming but his pettiness though... he's such tsundere lol. He is annoying but we love him like tharn does. I wish they would have made him apologize for the punch though.
The family meeting had me dying of laughter... it was so relatable.
Can't believe am saying this but lhong had me feeling sad for him. You could see the heartbreak in his eyes. P'san's words to type were facts only. The was no lie in what he said. Periodt.
P'mew as tharn looked amazing when he was mouthing the song to type.
Anyway such an amazing episode. Can't wait for the drama next week.

Exactly... I mean even without kissing couples can show some kind of affection/intimacy. You don't strictly need to kiss your other half to show them you love them. Unfortunately Petekao have no chemistry so I guess the affection and intimacy is hard to portray.
I love love love Pete's father. He is the real mvp!

Oh come on now! You can definitely tell from my comment what I meant. I even put the bottom in " " to mean so called. We all know in bl world people generally make this distinction. Anyways the point of the comment was that usually in bl drama the shy, small and let's say more fragile character (usually associated with the bottom) has no balls. Meanwhile in this drama yu shi gu actually fights for what he wants.

They just ooze chemistry. Now i get it when people say a 2 people look good together. I just can't put it into words. They just blend well together I guess lol.
And yes I would definitely be a little jealous if I were the girlfriend.

This show is such a breath of fresh air. I love how impulsive and fast paced the show is. We didn't to wait hundred years of the main character to break up with his girlfriend. We got a "bottom" who has actual balls and fights for the one he loves!!! Usually it is always the "top" that has to do it. I love this subversion of expectation. When you think a plot would go the usual route it actually does not. And that's what I love about this show. It's so different from the usual no dramas. It's amazing!!!
Oh and I have to thank HXT for making my baby yu shi gu eat!!!
And if course the steamy scenes are always appreciated.
Crossing the line is my n1 history drama but this might take over trapped as my second favourite. (Dog bark)????

I really love this show. And the chemistry between gulf and mew is amazing. I never thought 2 people could look so good together without dating... kudos to them.

So se waited forever for this so called kiss? Why the hell is Kai shocked/surprised his boyfriend of 3 years kissed him... like what was he expecting Pete to do after the anniversary gift? For him to slap him?????????
I love Taynew but this series is unwatchable. It's like the people behind this drama don't care anymore... you can actually feel that there's is no love or passion behind it.
And to the director, no people don't only care about sex scenes! We want a GOOD plot and not the same old cliches (you could at least try to subvert our expectation and not make it BORING).
Just by watching PeteKao you would think they were just friends and not more. Yes couples might loose their spark but it's like petekao have lost their souls. There's no chemistry. There's nothing there!
Heck the untamed showed how much wei wuxian and lan wangji loved each other better than this drama!
I don't care about what happened behind the scenes with the actors but if you're putting out a product for people to consume at least let it be a good one or better not do anything at all! We the fans want a product to be great and we can tell when people are half assing it. No matter how popular 2 actors are, if the script is bad and there is no chemistry people can tell. Popularity will not save a show from criticism!
The only good thing (and saving grace) of this drama is the fire opening music, sunmork, sandee and Pete's father. The rest can choke.
I bet all the budget went into making that amazing opening and song. Lol
I got to find the score and analyse it.
