THAT, is what I’m worried about actually, I hate it when the budget decreases, it can really screw up a series let me tell you, I’ve seen it happen too many times. I hope s2 can be satisfactory in quality otherwise that year wait is gonna be a major letdown :’( Here’s my opinion of how every FIRST season should start, if the company plans on making a second season anyway, I don’t think the budget should be spent of the greatest CGI or costumes, it should be spent on sets, script, & locations and actors and actresses, as top priority, here’s why: the first season is ALWAYS what reels the audience in, like a pilot episode, and if it doesn’t sell you’re in biggg trouble, I’ve seen many American shows fail to make a decent pilot episode, and that’s why the company says, well we’re canceling the series, its not fun ... The pilot doesn’t have to be perfect, it just needs to keep people engaged, and if you can successfully do that as a company with the story, the acting performances, etc, your audience will remember the series, and your viewership will go up, because it’s keeping them engaged, then by the season finale, you get the final opinions with review and such, and if the finale ended well, people will want a second season, THAT is when your budget should increase, because then people who watched the first season will notice the major improvements in the second season. This bothers me with a lot of companies that use their budgets unwisely, whether its costumes or CGI, it’s not always necessary to make a good series, sometimes those things AREN’T WHAT SELLS. Lol I actually want to pitch one stories and screenplays in the future either in the U.S. or South Korea, and this is something I’d love to discuss with he companies, this is all imo by the way, but I don’t think I’m far off here lol

Indeed, I agree! But I think they’ll make a s2 of Sweet home, based off the success it got :’), during the watch period it trended for at least three consecutive weeks in the U.S. I really hope another season happens!

Isn’t that crazy? Lol, normally trailers come out like a year or half a year early for kdramas, hell even film, marketing wise I don’t think their strategy is the best, people keep their interest in a drama by watching script reads and trailers, to keep the popularity afloat, to allow word of mouth to spread, rn I think they’re just using the popularity Jisoo has built up with Blackpink as enough promotion until May, this is imo, but I still don’t think that’s right. Jisoo hasn’t posted anything on her ig either about the drama, not yet at least :’(((
