Unpopular opinion: I don’t understand all the praises for Shin hye sun’s acting. I understand it is supposed to be comedic but her acting is overly exaggerated and her way of speech is just too uncouth. She speaks seemingly with an underbite ( clearly she doesn’t have) but I supposed she spoke that way to appear more assertive and manly. I can tell she’s passionate with her acting but it’s too forceful for my liking. Some actresses can hold a character naturally but for shin hye sun it feels like she’s putting her best act and it’s overdone. She acted in the legend of the blue sea with Jun Ji Hyun being the female lead and the latter is who I would describe as having talent pulling comedic/ exaggerated acting naturally. But of course Jun Ji Hyun is a different league altogether.
The scenes with her getting furious and berating the ML- Too much it felt like I was watching a theatrical play.
Love the chemistry between ML and FL. Many commented on the Fl's exaggerated acting but I do appreciate her acting and think she is underrated. The execution isn't the best but I do like the flow. I like that the politics are not heavy and intense, they are good enough for an easy watch. The series is mainly focused on the FL so if you're expecting extended screening time btw her and the ML this isn't for you.

Yeah she looks younger than her age too! Qiao concubine in this series would be hard to compete to Jiang Xin since all her tactics thus far are mainly petty low moves and she's definitely young and ungrounded unlike Jiang Xin.
Unpopular opinion: Qiao concubine is so pretty and even though she's playing the low move villain in this show, there's real innocence behind those eyes and i decided to watch her older series (legend of the phoenix) of her as the main FL. That series is underrated- the chemistry between her and Jeremy xu in that series is heart wrenching. She's definitely more suited to play the protagonist. I think she has potential and i look forward to her upcoming drama with peter ho. I'm not a fan of seven.
Gave up on oh! My emperor because of Jason's rigid acting. His acting has improved in this series and it looks promising thus far and what a surprise to see this "little hooligan" side of him... hope it doesn't disappoint. Chemistry is good between the leads at this point :) Connie kang is pleasing to the eye. She's 25 so in terms of acting she definitely has a level of maturity and looks department she looks her prime. So glad I'm not watching some young FL looking as if they are still stuck in their early adolescence ( like Gabrielle Guan).

Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy a nonsensical comedy. Consert MEng arrives is exactly that and it was executed well. Romance of tiger and rose tries too hard to abit of everything which is why imo their low production wouldnt allow them to execute very well. Consort Meng arrives focused entirely on comedy and even when sets were reused all the way i enjoyed it regardless, Acting, dialogues, constumes were great. I did watch go go princess too.

Check out consort meng arrives, I believe production budget is low too. I would gladly give it a decent 7. It's comical as well without looking cheap nor dated. Storyline is simple as it should be for a low production series. I just think romance of tiger and rose is trying too hard.
