Funny moment in ep 11 when they start too long at the movie theater, and the other woman was like "this guy kind of looks like Luo Yunxi. You're so lucky!" Haha, love that this drama doesn't take itself too seriously.
I find it hilarious because it's a misunderstanding of her mission: she's been commissioned to get the picture…
She definitely didn't know what she was supposed to be painting. When she joined the Li household as a servant, she asked them who are the "four golden bodies" and they told her everyone knows that it was the four handsome men of the Li household. (We know it includes ML and 2ML, but not who else.)
If you watch the trailers, one of them shows her showing Xiao Shuang a picture of four buddhas, and I suspect that's what she was meant to draw.
I’m really trying to watch it but I’m only on episode 2 and there’s so many plot holes already?? Like if…
They explained it. The ML required that 15 male students from the specific academy save the girls, 1:1. But all the students in the academy are from rich and/or powerful families, so almost nobody was willing to risk going against the infamous mountain bandit king. The only people who went were relatives, and one guy who was paid because his family was poor. And 2ML, who likes FL, but ended up saying her sister because her sister is the daughter from the wife (unknown who FL's mother is). But there just weren't enough people willing to go.
Am at ep 7 and I have got to say that sister is starting to get on my nerves. No one forced her to switch with…
The sister is super annoying, but I think she's supposed to be a bad guy. She makes it somewhat obvious that actually, she wanted to get away from being a servant and be an important lady. And she was definitely willing to step over the FL in order to do that.
I think people forget how young the characters are. The FL lead has an unmarried older sister. So she's probably somewhere between 16-18. A high school girl. It's like reading a young adult novel and then being upset the characters act like teenagers.
Plus, she's the only "legitimate" daughter (not sure how to translate this, but her mother is the wife, whereas the sister's mother is either a concubine, a servant, or some random woman), so she's supposed to be sheltered/spoiled. Her time is spent learning things like etiquette and poetry, not street smarts and common sense.
