What happened is people here have watched so many shows that they have become saturated so they can't watch a show with a new perspective. It's like hating a new romance drama for using rich guy/poor girl trope while completely ignoring the setting, acting ect.

I would say it's not in our culture, in western countries you are expected to move out when you turn legal adult but not in Asian countries. From the beginning you are taught to respect the family so stuff like moving out (especially after marriage if the reason is not job related), divorce is looked down upon.
