As the story goes further, you’ll see that this story is way far from “just aiming for kids and not adults…
I’m glad you’re at least still willing to give it another chance. :)
Since this drama goes against cliché tropes, so people who’re too used to or really love cliché dramas might not find some parts enjoyable.
And this drama needs us to really pay attention to details, even some micro expressions made by the actors/actresses (especially the ML) have some meanings behind. There’s a lot of Easter Eggs too, so that’s why some viewers, like me, had to rewatch some episodes/scenes (sometimes more than twice) to catch those hints. Luckily watching it ongoing let me experience the fun ride with positive Crazy Lovers here 😂
I hope you’ll enjoy this drama till the end. If not, it’s your preference and that’s okay. 😊
I thought things would be better after knowing the ML was faking amnesia but not at all. I don't find it funny…
From your comments, I think the humour style is not for you then. Maybe you’re not used to “breaking the 4th wall” humour which is known as this drama’s director’s style of directing the comedy. This style is also used in Thai dramas & also Marvel.
Some fans of this drama didn’t find the humour funny too, like you, at first. But after they knew where the story is heading to, when they rewatched, they had a good laugh, along with a good & rollercoaster ride. 😊
As for what you said about the FL, ever since she was diagnosed with cancer, she doesn’t think of anything else other than getting revenge at the ML. She thinks “I’m dying anyway. Nothing matters anymore. Let him suffer before I die!”. That’s why to you, she seems “delusional” and “histerical”.
The ML doesn’t just forget about the threat surrounding him tho. He IS investigating, just not on his own. You’re still at episode 5 so the part where his private investigator is shown on screen, you haven’t seen that yet.
It’s just that this drama doesn’t focus on the investigation part. It’s more focused on the ML’s character development & the main couple’s dynamics.
I think I will stop at episode 5. Somehow I feel like it is too "cheesy-boring" and not the "cheesy-fun" type…
As the story goes further, you’ll see that this story is way far from “just aiming for kids and not adults somehow” like you claimed.
Since the development in this drama is quite unique unlike typical dramas, episode 5 is still early for viewers to judge. But it’s your choice anyway. :)
Just noticed that the writer of this drama, Ha Yoon Ah, is the newbie writer who wrote “Mystic Pop-Up Bar”, one of my favourite fantasy Kdrama! Now my trust level for her about this drama just increased. ❤️
Plus, the director is the same for “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” 😆
He's finally not looking arrogant and haughty. That probably helps.
Ohhh yeah that makes sense. He’s normally snobby and arrogant but this time he’s vulnerable. Just like when NGJ in CL was looking so alone. It makes my heart weak. 🥺
May I say that Cha Woong looks so hot when he opened the door with a pale face at the end of ep2? And when he fell onto Seul Hae, dang it so sexy. Why does a sick man look hot and sexy to me? 😔💔
PS: I’m sorry that happened to you, btw. Yeah it’s sad to find out we’re ill when before that, we’re told that we’re perfectly fine. :(
