My top favourite Korean actors are always selective in choosing their roles (Yoo Seung Ho, Jisung, Kim Jae Wook, Kim Nam Gil, Lee Joon Hyuk) and because of this, their dramas usually turn out to be really good, despite low ratings for some of them.

I’m not trying to compare both dramas since I know they have different storylines and character buildings, but when it comes to plot development, character development, relationship progress & comedy, CL is better executed and feels more realistic. Actually, when it comes to these aspects, I think CL is better than most typical romcom Kdramas.
Some people might be pissed off by Gojin’s personality even after 10 episodes, but for me, it’s better written that way rather than him suddenly changing his personality drastically after falling in love with Shinah.

Honestly, that’s one of my thoughts too. Watching Shinah’s first mock teaching interview reminded me of myself a few years ago as I’m also an introverted person who has passion for teaching, but doesn’t have enough talent, unfortunately.
But I’m sure the bigger reason is Gojin is worried about her illness and wants her to stay close to him so he can take care of her.
