Possibilities that I can think of at the moment (my brain is still tired because I couldn’t get enough sleep after watching Episode 12 so pardon me 😂)
1. His family, precisely his father, was the one who killed/ordered someone to kill her, so she was already stabbed when he came to save her. That made him part of the curse because it was his father’s doing. This is why I think the present father acts strangely when the curse topic is brought up.
2. He was possessed by black magic set by the princess (maybe SFL) and the gardener.
3. Extra theory: She was not the one who put the curse, but maybe it was the older shaman (in the scene where her younger self’s body was brought to the shrine).

Actually I used to watch this type of soapy dramas when I was a kid. The ones from my own country and Indonesian. But then I entered Kdramaland so 😂 And some Thai dramas also soapy so I think I’ll be fine 😂
I think the reason why you can enjoy Crazy Love and Destined with You is this. You can bear with Weekenders storylines so ‘messy’ or ‘unusual’ ones like CL and DWY are nothing compared to Weekenders. 🤣
I actually really like it when a drama starts with unlikeable characters, because that’d leave much space for character development and one thing about me as a drama watcher is I LOVE character development!
As a fan of Cdramas, I don’t really mind when there’re multiple lovelines, as long as the story focuses on the main couple instead of side couples.
I really appreciate your effort in giving me a heads-up and introduction to this drama. Right now I’m already enjoying the main couple’s interaction. I love Ha Joon’s stoic face like I’m living for his facial expressions!! 😆 Good to see our bear being grumpy here. 🐻
