It's not that hard to apologize for being insensitive. but this conversation doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so I'll just stop here and say that's great for you. 👍

My point was about the fact that you compared it to "what a creepy old man does to underage girls." I think a discussion about its use in the show is completely valid but a different conversation than what you brought up in the original comment!

What is with the weird sniff-kisses that have become a thing in BL lately? That's not actually a kiss, it's more…
From what I know, the “sniff-kiss” is actually a part of Thai culture (there are tons of explanations and information online!), so while it may be unfamiliar to us as viewers from different cultures, I feel like calling it weird or creepy might be a little insensitive. Just my opinion!

Can someone tell me if there's a feel that they'll end up together? I have been struggling with not watching it…
Run On is also one of my favorite dramas, so to answer your second question, I would say that the vibe isn’t really the same. Because of the documentary aspect of Our Beloved Summer, which kind of acts like a voiceover that frames the mood and tone of each episode and specific scenes, I’d say it gives a much more melodramatic vibe, something that wasn’t explicitly expressed or highlighted in Run On. In a sense, this documentary voice over structure that also shows up in Lovestruck in the City reveals inner monologues similar to the way that texts (manhwa, books) do and thus delivers the story differently than Run On did with its dialogue.
