Honestly people comparing this to love020 where, both have the gaming aspects but honestly the acting is just.…
I’m feeling the same I just started and I think I might drop it. The FL expression is so monotone. Please someone give me a really good reason why I should continue.
I have always wanted to watch this drama but I got scared because it's 68-episode long. We all know C-dramas this…
I was the opposite, surprisingly this was one that I think I had actually enjoy watching. More than the acting, I was very interested to see what the next move was for each character. So much happened all at once and at time, I had to rewind to remember who was taking what action! ML was a big factor the continuation but FL bravery and tactic was just as interesting to watch!
I only got in to dramas 2020, but it must be fun to see people grow in real time I envy you a but ha ha , thank…
Aww...welcome!! This is a bad addiction of mine so I binge watch a bunch of series growing up :P if you watch any older series, you'll see that kdrama has come a long way!
I think she has come a long way. When she first started acting, I felt she either cried a lot or just acted pretty. I wasn't very impressed until she started doing Healer, I found that her acting has slightly improved and since grew. The latest series I've seen of her is Her Private Life, I love her so much in here!! I can't wait to see more of her stuff!
Great job on your first article! I really enjoy it because it shows that the writers do matter when it comes to watching your favorite series. I mean a lot of movies and series are based on books or a script someone wrote. I'm glad that you shared Boss Naruebet Kuno because I usually watch a lot of character development and slice-of-life genre. Those probably drive most of my high ratings on movies and shows. I'm going to check out some of his works.
Eagles and Youngster is a very good exploring adventure drama as well. Although it does differ a lot from the…
Thanks, I'll check them out! I think the reason I enjoy Eagles and Youngster was because it was focus on proving it with science and history, making it enjoyable to watch! It took a step away from saying it was spiritistic which was different from most drama.
My thoughts are similar. After spending a few years going after kdrama I switch back to watching cdrama and jdrama. I am very picky when it comes to kdrama, there has to be something appeal from it that makes me watch it. I'm tired of eye candies, boring and dragging storyline, cast that everyone loves but I don't find appeal (sorry DOTS) very typical kdrama storyline that made me love them at first but after a while they get boring. The most recent kdrama I've watched is more because of the storyline, great acting, directing and cinematography. I've skip a lot of the popular series because sadly they are just not my cup of tea.
I love how you mention Orange Days, this is one of my top five. I always recommend this series to folks who want to take a dip into jdrama. I think one thing that jdrama does a great job on is slice of life, (are they even call this anymore?) one of the genres I loved because there is a lot of character development. I am sad about the fact that a lot of jdrama are fansub, making it harder to find and enjoy new releases. I think they can really grow an international fanbase if they can get English sub for series that are popular.
Recently, I've come to love cdrama again because we get so many subs readily and so many new series available that it is hard to try to watch all of them. This is one positive thing about cdrama! Plus, I am a bit bias because I did grow up on cdrama and I just love the wuxia, the storyline and the outfits. Sorry for rambling, I just love and get the sense that you are trying to show more love for jdrama for us international folks.
My first grave robber series is "Eagles and Youngster" and I fell in love with this genre. I've check out The Lost Tomb but the one that left the most memorable impression is Eagles and Youngster.
What a great review! You pretty much stated a lot of thoughts I had about the drama :D I love Zhou Dongyu from one of her movies so I am upset with the articles they have out there about her. I often compare her roles with other dramas I favor and a lot of their actress has the "similar" personality. She does not have the typically Asian look but I rather have someone great at acting than someone pretty who does mediocre acting. Therefore, I tell people to give her a shot, she does slowly grow on you!
I'm so glad I kept watching this series to the end. The storyline does pick up and gets better. Surprisingly this will be one of the top series that I'll often think about just like TMoPB.
