This drama and You Are My Glory are the ONLY chinese drama i can digest twice. So yeah i dont have any that can top them yet. Talking about glory, there is a short lenght drama titled The Glory and it is so good!
Coming back here after watching PoB. I use this drama as my standard so if there are other dramas that got better rate than The Double, i would totally watch it. PoB got 9.0 while The Double got 8.8 so i dived in quickly into the drama but im quite disappointed with PoB especially in ML character :( Its hard to find good drama like this one now with amazing FL and ML

Exactlyyyy thats even worse. Watch the next episode she will act all sad and pitiful like she is the victim. That is textbook groomer. Especially if the groomer is a woman. Men will gaslight the hell out of you and make you feel you are overreacting but women will act like they are the victim or innocent one.
I am at episode 8 and i don't like the best friend and brother "relationship". Its giving grooming especially the fact that they have been living together since he is a child. Icky to the max. Just nasty and weird. When the FL scolded that "bestfriend" it was so satisfying! Other than that this drama is funny but I can't wrap my mind on them still using "smacking men" as humor instead of abusive behaviour. Like if the role is changed i know none of the smacking and whacking can be aired.
Look, i like that he is trying to break free from high school drama (like yes burn that sh!t) cause im tired of it too BUT his face 상 (idk how to explain this in english) doesn't give CEO. He looks like he's cosplaying Park Seo Joon in WWWSK. It doesn't help that Moon Ga Young nowadays is more mature in terms of face and aura. He will totally looks more like a kid beside Ga Young 😭

You clearly implying that i cant digest the eras well by saying “I feel you have a certain concept in your head and has a bias against that type of era.” When i dont have any of that. But of course you put words into my mouth.
Second, “You went into an era with royal family expecting something different.” Oh no, i went in knowing fully that she is a servant and he is a prince. I watched all the dhevaprom even the juthatheps series. I dont have the problem with them being that, but the way they shape their characters are the reason i dont like it. Her keep saying that she is just a poor girl, she is a servant, she cant be as elegant as cheewa a lot more like every episode she is degrading herself. She can be a servant and still feel AT LEAST a little bit confident about herself. Him not knowing boundaries, touching her while sleeping and no its not romantic even with the bgm, keep pushing her to call him P’ when is she clearly uncomfortable with it, let his ex touch him however she wants when she is married and in that era reputation is important.

For example, i can digest Dujupsorn and Laorchan well because the characters are actually digestible for me. Then you have the audacity to end your ESSAY “to each their own” ..? If this phrase is true to you, you will respect my opinion as i respect yours in regard of the characters. Its fine if you like the characters but dont insult my mindset.
