and you're also treated to some good ol' 21st century censorship and the occasional bit of propaganda
Real hshshs heavy on the occasional propaganda lmao i pick and choose Chinese republican dramas for that specific reason because sometimes they just dont hide it anymore ππ
To all the K-drama fans whoβve never tried C-dramas: take a break from the mess K-dramas have been serving lately…
I'm so deep in chinese dramas that I just now know this scandal exist π actually thats so true, chinese drama always use their own culture instead of trying to shove diversity in a bad way into the audience faces. They know they will not do it right so better never start it at all. Instead they just show their own powerful history and culture.
However, i would say that female leads in korean drama are still more interesting in terms of character development or characteristics wise. Also the skinship in kdrama are more prevalent due to no censorship. If only china doesn't have that shitty censorship they will totally get all kill for the best asian dramas
Not into the plot that much cause i just really do not care π , the chemistry between the ML and FL are just too good paired up with the cinematography CHEF KITH. It's to the point i felt like i was intruding tho I also shamelessly stayed for that x
This is like a short film of their honeymoon if we take out the plot then compile them being so comfortable and lovey dovey together lol
Honestly they are giving me pinterest couple vibe π
If she really get banned in China, i hope she goes to another country and try to be an actress there because she is VERY talented. It will be a waste to let an actress like her unseen by others π but if opening noodle shop makes her happy, i hope her shop will be extra extra successful!
I really really liked Julia Xiang 's character in LOTDT but here she's not it+ she has no chemistry whatsoever…
Same! I start this because of WXY too. His agency need to pick better script honestly. This drama has endless poisoning scene π He is such a promising actor to just wasted on lazy writing.
I never watch anything with Julia so this drama is basically my first impression of her acting. Honestly, in this drama i blame the character instead of the actress because the character itself is just⦠unlikeable.
Iβm trying to be nice π i just got attacked by some idol fans in this site because apparently my tone is harsh soooooooo shhshshs (but yes i agree with you)
Exactly. Like im not even his anything not hater nor fan... My comment is about how baffling a minor being casted in this drama along with an adult as their romantic partner but lo and behold, the fans are focusing on my tone and me calling Neo someone who can be Ai Mi's uncle with that age gap like thats an offensive thing to say, bro literally 27 while Ai Mi is 17 make it make sensenseee. But of course that is more important than the subject of minor being exploited π atp im so tired explaining to fans. Idc who is the male lead as long as he is an adult with 10 year age gap, i would say and question the same thing. Especially the director
Omg you are turning an orange into a banana. Rather than focusing on the fact that the casting is an issue, you are instead focusing on my tone??? The fact that you DARE to ask me to JOKE about MINOR being exploited is insane! Im questioning him because he supposed to be the adult and Ai Mi's senior in the industry. And there is no harm in questioning his decision??? Like is he a God or something that we can't question why he did what he did? Oh and thats before i know the contract issue too. You are just mad im not flattering you guys.
Also, i dont think i made a comment focusing on him instead YOU are the one focusing on that particular subject when the context of my comment is minor being casted while a bunch of adults are around her making this possible. The projection is crazy lol.
Girl dont put words into my mouth. I said he is 27 year old. Thats supposed to be how you address someone age??? Tf you on. And he is FACTUALLY can be considered as her uncle following that age gap. Dude can be 40 and i'll still support him if he is a good actor and a great person. We are talking about minor here so lets all put our thinking cap for a moment π§ββοΈ
And no, 27 year old is not a baby. Thats a grown ass man.
Damn thats so freaking suck for him.... the director, parents and agency are totally a bunch of weirdos π and i would never blame Ai Mi. She is the victim in this situation. Its just sad people still decide to watch it tho. Supporting this kind of media will only fuel more for this type of casting.
i understand your point but it is a historical drama. not like a modern age drama.. i guess itβs because iβm…
Regarding the fans having their own reason to keep watching...personally i dont see any reasons but i respect your stance. I want to say hopefully thing like this will not happen again but we all know it will... its just heartbreaking
However, i would say that female leads in korean drama are still more interesting in terms of character development or characteristics wise.
