It's basically a dream/nightmare that Shi Lei has where Yu Zhen kisses his ex....I still don't know the point of that intense kissing....like usually when the ML has such jealousy fueled thoughts or dreams it's mostly suggestive in nature, you know with some romantic music in the background with some suggestive poses and lines...it's never supposed to be this explicit since they are not the main CP who should technically have more scenes together both intimate and non-intimate...

Same....After watching it I was gonna write a review as well with just the word "Boring" written over and over again throughout the whole review....then I read yours and I loved your soup analogy....In the end I decided not to write one as I don't wanna linger on this drama any longer....what a waste of time seriously....I would never have expected this from a drama with both Park Bo-young and Seo In-guk in it.
This is like the chinese version of the Indian web-series "Man's world".... There the protagonist prays to change places with women thinking they get preferential treatment and the world changes where now the men get objectified, are said to be inferior to women, get periods and even have the babies....since that series was fun I'm guessing this will be too. I'll definitely watch this.

I agree with you 100%. I dropped it weeks ago but curiosity got the better of me and now I regret it. Seriously that OST "Breaking Down" by Ailee gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. I can't believe they wasted both the cast and the sountrack on such a storyline.
I'm such an idiot. I dropped this after watching ep 8 and today out of boredom I took it up again. I didn't wanna come online and see the reviews from fear of spoiling the end and now I regret it bigtime. God it was so FREAKING BORING. I fast forwarded half of the scenes. episodes 11-13 were literally useless. They didn't add sh*t to the plot. Why did they drag it to ep 16. They could have just ended it in 12 episodes if they were going to end it in such a predictable and lackluster way. Your review was 10 times better than the plot of drama. Thanks.

The problem with the straight couple is not the rule exactly....the day Jin Yu Zhen put up the rule, they were in the middle of a marriage proposal and as soon as Wang Jing saw the rule he chickened out and ran which is the real reason they are not together, because Xiao Qian thinks he's a coward for running away instead of standing his ground and fighting for their relationship...it's the same in the parent story "Just You"

If you see this drama's parent story "Just You"(non-BL) you'll be saying "that bitch" alot to the ML's first love... Also if you've seen TharnType's Season 2, you must have said "this bitch" alot everytime Fiat came on screen... So yeah works both ways...

I think it's because they are making Jin Yu Zhen fluctuate between different personalities. Initially he was like a tsundere, expected to go from being a cold person to being kinda warm and nice. But then in the middle it changed tracks showing him to be this traumatized guy who just needs some love (from Shi Lei). Now it changed tracks again to someone who hides from his feelings, causing misunderstandings. Not only that the recent episodes are literally portraying him as a hypocrite. He broke most of his rules himself, but he won't remove the rule list, he wants to date Shi Lei and is actively chasing him but won't let Bai Xiao Qian and Wang Jing date and then when he found Si Qi was dating Zhao Gang he just asked them to keep it a secret! Why? Either make him break up, resign, fire him or rip that damn rule off the wall. The dude can't make up his mind and it's pissing me off.
I've seen "just you", the parent story from which this drama was adapted, it was longer, the chemistry development was better, the love triangles were well set and so were the misunderstandings. Now I'm not saying they should have copied it exactly but they could have atleast structured this better. They should not be bringing in an ex because his entrance is too late and I don't think it's possible to create and resolve a conflict in under 4 episodes especially with the episodes being only 20 some mins long.

This drama is starting to toe the lines between cute, cheesy and cringey....some of the scenes like the office kabedon or the coffee house scene between the MLs feel too forced...previously there was a nice flow but that is not here anymore...I'm hoping that it was just this episode and that from the next one the story and flow will be back on track...
