I agree with you about Jing Tian she doesn’t match as character role of FL acting as a young little girl. it throws me off as well, she fits more of a serious role like Rattan. I agree I’m so tired of the voice dubbed actress (Fengjiu’s Voice reminds me so much of Reba) and makes her character look annoying.

she only gets into a romantic arc with 2 (Jing and Xiang Liu) the other 1 is her brother (Cang Xuan) (cousin) who cherishes her a lot but ends up having feelings for her, the other 1 (I forget his name) who likes her. that’s basically it. it’s kind of like when you meet people you ended up liking them and fall in love with them but it’s bad timing for every character and the path that they chose ends with their fate. hope that helps.

he’s not really a bad guy it’s just that he has his own ambition to follow and he chose his path instead of staying with XiaoYou. he erased all of her memories of him because he knew that he’d be an enemy in her eyes. after he died she finnaly found out and was super mad and heartbroken. (that’s what I read in the novel). in the epilogue he finnaly says that he can no longer protector and that she found someone to love and lean on, therefore he was at ease.

I thought that i was the only one thinking that way. This was an anticipation for me with PHS as lead but then FL, When i watched her deliver her aggressive lines i was a annoyed too and couldn't watch further. Hopefully it gets better and they fix up her character performance later in the drama.

Not going to lie, Sword Snow Stride, this is far yet one of the best Wu Xia that has aired in the past few years in my perspective. Not only it focuses on Main Lead but also gives enough story and coverage for every character that is presented.

Two of the main reasons that I know of is. 1. Some actors and actresses have a strong accent depending on their area of region they come from. 2. When they film for wuxia/historical/xianxia the machine equipments that they use for them to fly in the air is too loud and they can’t catch the voice audio that is being capture while filming. Some actors/actresses may dubb their own voice if they want too, but most of them don’t is maybe because they’re too busy to go back and dubb.

I would say yes, (mostly 70% imo) cdramas are dubbed only some leads will actually dubb their own voices but it’s rare.

But starting 2021 I’m glad that there are some dramas with leads actual voices.

Definitely Agree with you only she can play the Shanggu in ALP I can’t imagine another person to play that role.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to read and respond. I merely comment on MDL, whatever I say hopefully it doesn’t offend anyone it’s just on my perspective.

I only said I couldn’t take him seriously at the beginning episodes of ALP is because I watched more of of Xu Kai’s comedic roles that he took. (So his facial expressions are just too hard for me to take in when I first watched a couple of episodes) The last drama I watched of Xu Kai’s serious role which was the Legends. But don’t get me wrong I still love watching ALP and Love Xu Kai’s performance as Bai Jue (I m emotional hurt from watching the last couple episodes 😭).

It’s just my perspective because I watched Xu Kai play Wang Lu and he’s great at comedic roles. It’s just like Liu Xu Yi played a serious role/calm in LAR and the played a comedic role In Qing Luo and I couldn’t take it anymore (in a funny way) because it was just too hilarious to watch. This just probably meant these are great actors/actresses. Hope you understand where I am coming from. 😁

Definitely watch more of the episodes , at the beginning I wasn’t really interested in ALP and thought that I wouldn’t binge watch. But initially did. I nearly cried out tears for the sad scenes that were coming up towards the end.
While Xu Kai does well on a the comedic genres, I can never take him seriously when I first watched ALP lol but overall his acting mostly improved.
