Yes! The series started slow but I'm now enjoying it. Last scene when Type took his anger on Tharn was the best YET. Love ChampDoc fillers since Doc is really blushing in every scene (especially the ear). Techno is still the loveable friend

Then I went here just to read undeserved hate on the series. Ugh.. so toxic.

I def agree with you especially the first one. The best scene in this ep was when Type took out his anger on Tharn and the latter comforts him, then comes Type's apology. This is what a working couple really looks life. Not always flowers and fluffy things. How they navigate their relationship is what makes it beautiful. This is the GEM of the series which is overlooked by toxic commenters

PS: MDL is not really a good place to read comments. There are some valid criticisms but lots of complaint without sense. Just follow the official hashtag on Twitter. After that, we can go delulu on MewGulf on IG and Twitter (yup that's the food of Waanjai soul)

Everyone hates Techno in ep 4. Not me.
That Techno who sold bits of info over some food... THAT is Techno. The same Techno who babbles endlessly when he's with his friends. The same techno who is torn between helping his friends or satisfying his hunger first. The same Techno which had a share in the dynamics of TharnType's relship. Remember, Techno accidentally exposed Type seeing a girl (TTS ep 6) but now it's the reverse Techno babbles about Tharn being with a girl. Lol. Same Techno. So chill out guys...

My only complain? No Kengkla. That wouldve added dimension to his flat comic-relief personality

I think TTS1 is a fairly good series. What made it stand out among other BL series? Was it Mame's script? No. It was the magical chemistry of the actors Mew and Gulf. TTS1 has a mediocre story (let's be honest) but MewGulf really carried it to the world (LBC too has a good story but it was the actors' charisma that skyrocketed the series).Mame's works are good but there are other stories which really has depth and poignant feel to it (writers of ITSAY). However, let's not discredit Mame. Those media industries which collaborated with her plus her continuous publishing cements the fact that she is a skilled writer.My take on this, A Chance to Love had problems with the actors. On the other hand TTS2 was rushed and the pandemic made constraints in the production of the series. (I still think Mame made a huge mistake for changing the director and the team. She couldve just waited for the director, let the pandemic ease, and took her time writing the series).

Season 2 is coming. Title would be Boys' ECQ.

I do understand Vlad suffered a lot. And it's not the show's fault here. It's the injustice we face for society's intolerance towards our community. The show was just a medium to "show" us that this is happening ryt now. I think you understand that too and yup you made your peace with the ending.*Hopefully we get to see the love and peace that Vlad deserves in S2. Manifesting <3

Just finished it. Don't mind me. I'm crying like crazy ryt now. Excellent is not even the proper term to describe this series. It's a heritage for the LGBTQ community and a staple for every movie enthusiast. Definitely a masterpiece

"a show that did Vlad dirty" umm what? It's seems a low-key attack on Karl not being ready to be out. Karl's situation (as we all know) is valid. He kept saying sorry to Vlad but Vlad kept reassuring him it's not his fault. And bith of them are right. It's not Karl who wronged Vlad. Heck, It's not even the show. The thing that did Vlad dirty.... The things that impeded Karl and Vlad's alternate perfect ending is the misconception formed by our society towards LGBTQ+: inequality, discrimination and fear

Who said they solved everything? I was happy they did not give us a perfect cliche ending nor a tragic one. The ending was an open one, as it shld be. Karl took his first step navigating outside his zone. Karl remained outside... firm in taking pride being gay. And they also gave a line of hope between them (in the last frame) when the two steals a glimpse of each other.
The ending affirms that both Vlad's and Karl's situation are valid ones. The rest is up to "us" now on when and how we can tell our stories.
GSP is not just a BL series anyway, it's an advocacy from the very beginning

Darling.... When you've been straight ur whole life and then changed all of a sudden, that's COMPLETELY a different crisis. Given that, the TINE may be portrayed as being jealous in that situation but he's actually insecure. He needed assurance (Wat couldve asserted to Pam that Tine is the one he loves back in ep12 and solved the problem). I was hoping theyd tackle this *gay insecurity problem. To your other opinion....yes I agree that the ending is by far the weakest for GMMTV BL. Could've shown more intimacy. But oh well, praying for season 2

Done watching all episode. I honestly find the series appealing mainly because of the chemistry of the two main couples. I like the FighTor arc yet I was also craving for ZonSaifah moments.
I agree with most people that the first few episodes were great. There's so much fun going and so many things going on that eventually, I was left wondering where the series is heading to. Yes, I commend the cast for their performance (Saint's development and Zee's boldness). Too bad, most of the production were mishandled and I think that's when show lost its luster. Black frames, loose plots and jumpy narratives (and the f***king translation) made us cringe.

TBH, the pandemic had little influence on the turn of events. The show was already full of flaws in the mid-episodes. The premise was great...the "We're stuck in a Thai BL" narrative could have been explored further like in the first episodes (a satire to Thai BL could be a fresh take). Tor's story was ill-addressed and we were left wondering why his family problem occurred in the first place. Other couples were just trivial and could've been removed, explored or be made into a separate show. Oh yeah, Zon's writing career? So many things to work on. Instead, there's too much focus on the kiss & bed scenes. I'm not complaining here but skinships are not substitutes to good production and storyline. Wished more time was devoted in planning the plot and production could've been made months ago (you know... so that Saint can return to LBC S2)

On the other hand...
There's a silver lining here. WHY R U is a feel-good BL but conflicted with lapses. Future series need to learn from its flaws so that better ones can be shown.

(note: Am I the only one pausing the intro when TharnType appears? Like AAAaahhh. MewGulf so in wuv.)
