This may be unpopular but I found this season to be miles better than the first season. Yes, the editing is shoddy and there are a lot of abrupt transitions but overall it was an interesting storyline that I wish had more time to be developed. I really liked the dynamic between Yeon Woo and Se Hyun and honestly preferred them together to Yeon Woo and Yoo Han but then again that's just me opinion. I wonder what S3 will bring in terms of story and whether or not they'll introduce a love triangle (which I'm all for if done properly).
The thing is that a lot of thr Korean BL so far have had great girl protagonists but they really went down the stereotypical route with this one... I truly wanted for there to be a redemption arc for Sohee but at this point I don’t know if that's possible
I don't understand how people can find this drama overrated. As an avid fan of dramas for quite some time now, I have to say that HDL is one of the best dramas to come out in recent years. I found everything about the drama to be great. I was never bored and I enjoyed every single episode, which is an extremely rare feat for dramas considering that most of them start to drag by the last two or three episodes. IU and Yeo Jin Goo had great chemistry (IMO) and the acting was superb in this show. The soundtrack also makes this show. I haven't heard a more perfect OST for a drama in a long time (not since Descendants of the Sun or Goblin).
To those saying IU's acting wasn't good here, I don't know what more you expect. She's improved vastly and this show proves it. She deserves all the accolades she receives for this show because she was that good. It could just be me but I feel like people just like to hate on something that's popular without valid reason.
