yes true he did have issues regarding trust he was not to blame he trusted that his step mom loved him but its was a lie than the woman who bore his kids stole from him lied and took the boy so yeah i think at that point he lost trust in people and especially in women and he was afraid ming lan would not love him or still have feeling for the other guy or leave him the same with ming lan she didnt tell him i love u and all that cuz she was afraid if she trusted him to much she would regret it if he didnt love her anymore and mistreated her by taking concubines like he r mother suffered cuz of his father so called love for his wives but i did love that part of gty he seemed human and cute u dont really see that kind of side in any ml in that prespective
