I would recommend you to watch Chinese survival shows as well. They're based on same produce format but their contestants are definitely better and vastly talented. I would recommend Youth with you S2 and 3. Chuang 2020 and produce came 2021. These shows are unmatchable in terms of talent and editing isn't hateful and negative, unlike mnet method.

I am loving this show sm. The actors are doing the great job and the drama portrays the various emotions that one go through while facing a breakup. From being emotionally dead to sudden outburst, then acceptance and slowly moving on. I was not the onr going through breakup but the way it was portrayed and yoo in ah was crying, I was feeling emotional as well and could feel all of her emotions. I am sure this drama is going to become interesting in later episodes and we will get to witness the chemistry between the leads as well. However, I am loving the pace of the drama and how we're getting to see different sides of people and how they act in a relationship.

Exactly. I hope they don't turn it into a low budget remake, like they did with a love so beautiful. 😭 Koreans are good at making original dramas but sometimes they make ridiculous remakes. Mr. Queen was the best though. However it was still based on the novel and not the drama entirely.
Go ahead is one of my top Chinese dramas pick. I really hope they don't ruin it. Though HIY suits the ML character, I will have to see about the FL's character. I am not sure if they will be able to match the chemistry in Go ahead between the leads. Btw Lee jang wook would suit the character of the ML more. 🥹🤤 He is good at serving chemistry with his female leads.

I am watching first season and hasn't completed yet. Can you tell me if first season ended on a open note or with a sad ending for the second season? Because seeing how there is second season which hasn't released yet, I am not sure how long to wait for it. I am loving this drama sm but it would be a waste the first season ends vaguely.

Yeah. I also found out about it while I was reading hidden love. The two novels were written by same writers and first frost is the second story under hidden love. Sang Yan, the ml of First Frost is the FL's brother in Hidden Love.
Both novels have manhua versions and the art is beautiful. I definitely recommend reading them. Hidden love is going to be released this year as a drama, the exact date hasn't been released yet though. It will come with the same name, hidden love. The casting of both dramas is amazing, cannot wait for the drama versions.

I agree. I like dramas with good characters too. 2521, attorney woo young woo are such great recent dramas examples. However, I also like crazy character like this too. I recently finished pasta which is an old Korean drama and the ml was crazy and narcissistic in the beginning of the drama who fired all women in the kitchen. However by the time story develops, one could see growth in characters and find out the reasoning behind their thought process as well. I enjoy such kind of dramas as.much As I love nice characters with healing plot. Run on was one of them.

You're right. It reminds me so much of what's wrong with my secretary. I like such light rom-com dramas and glad that this was released.

Exactly. If characters are perfect from the start, then what will happen for the long 16-20 episodes? Welfare service? It's a drama for a reason, it needs spice and salt to make it more seasoned. Characters needs to have flaws to make them more relatable and humane. I am loving how this drama and I hope people could have some patience.
Because If people acts so sensitive, they should never try to watch old Korean dramas, because they will pull out their hair out of frustration then. 😂
Those dramas are good and funny but the negativity of characters and cowardness of female lead might make them irritated.

I am loving this drama so far. Binged both episodes in one seating. I started it for yoo na but fell for the intriguing plot.
It's one of those dramas which makes me happy and makes me laught. It does not need me to use my brain while watching it and it's enough to keep me entertained. The ML looks very similar to Jae Wook though. I like his cold and aloof character which will be broken by our loud, active and persistent fl.

Edit: Wow. I am surprised there are so many people who doesn't like ML's character to the point that they want to drop the drama. I mean, his character isn't the best but not worst either. There are faults in every character and so does his. I am sure the future episodes will come with growth of the story and characters. People needs to calm down sometimes and understand that this is a drama, it starts with problems, go through character growth and climax and boom, ending. People are judging too much when we're only in introduction phase.

That's true. It's not his fault but this thing is indeed unfair to others. He has years of experience and it's unfair to judge him fairly compared to others trainees who haven't started their careers yet. It would have been better if he has gone on peak time but this concept doesn't fit him well. If I am not wrong, didn't pentagon already appeared in Kingdom? Such experienced shows are befitting for him, not boys planet.

Exactly. Her actions and acting was appropriate for her cautious character. ML confessed sooner because he didn't have anything to be cautious about and it was his age as well. He was youthful but blunt as well. Whereas she has so many things to consider in this relationship, her character was well explained because of her past relationship where she had an affair with 10 yrs older man than her. She was worried that she and SS would end up in the same situation and things will come to square one. She didn't want to hurt herself and him as well.

Exactly. Tbh all contestants look almost same to me, Handsome. 😌 I don't understand the hype with some people's visuals because I feel more than visuals their talent speaks more. His rap skills were average to me tbh. En garde' was by far the best performance for me but his rap was not it.
People are so much obsessed with visuals these days that they do not think that there are more talented contestants who have everything with them.
Tbh I feel that Yujin is overhyped too. Other than his audition, he didn't make a great impact in any of the performances and feel people only go for him mostly for his cute young boy visuals and charm. He is good but not that great compared to his rankings tbh.

I am still wondering what is so great about Kim gyi vin except his visuals. In no performance, I found him exceptionally good or noticed him. His parts were one of my least favourite parts. Even in en garde', I liked gun weok the most and gyu vin's one was least impactful. But he got the first place, his rank is quite high in line up as well. Idk. If he got the rank in the final line up because of visuals, then I don't think I will ever like mnet survival shows. Because it's more about visuals and popularity than talent.
I feel mnet definitely has its favorites. I have noticed that in the last few episodes, Jay was getting almost none screen time that I sometimes forget about him. Even when everyone was shown their killing part performance in the latest episode, his part was edited and he was seen only ending it and not the performance. He is good with vocals, has decent popularity but it's obvious that mnet has been editing him out a bit too much. I support him only and if this continues, it will be difficult for him to get the spot. I would be happiest of he gets the chance though.

I think more than him, it's the fault of the mnet for accepting already debuted idols who are active. It wasn't wrong for him to be there because he was qualified and could participate in the show. It is mnet who allowed him, it's their fault. Also, considering his performance, he truly deserves the best place. Not judging him as the already debuted idol but as the contestant in the show.

I have a different opinion. I feel that both actors did a great job. It was my first time watching the female lead and she did a phenomenal job in portraying her character. There was resistance in her character but passion for her career and work. She knows how to make things right for her but at the same time, there was a void in her life which SS filled for her. He gave her the courage that she needed and support when she feels alone.
Similarly, she made him trust in his abilities and that he is not a waste talent. She believed in him and took him to where he was. Many are saying that she used him, but on the contrary, I would say that she trusted him and gave him the chance to try something in his career when he was at the edge of quitting sports. She was the one who took chances for him and found talent in him when everyone called him a waste. She sent him abroad and asked him to quit because he was the one who messed up the contract and stuff. Though that arc was so unnecessary, it would have been better if they had found another loopholes in the contract and fought with the bad guy.
But anyway, I feel both characters helped each other to grow. In terms of acting, both actors were on the same frequency and played their characters well. If one would have acted poorly or average, the chemistry would have been lacking alot, which is not in my opinion. However, everyone's perspective could be different.
For me, this was the best series with great story, dialogues and acting. Could have been better if they had reduced the episodes a bit and didn't drag it longer. It would have been a perfect 35 episodes drama but even though, I love it and the only thing I feel disappointed about is, there is no wedding scene or her being pregnant. Lol. It would have been more interesting if she was pregnant than her sister, because we could have gotten her arc about her slim chances of being pregnant and stuff. I would be more happier if that had happened.

Oh My! I recently read Hidden Love and was planning to read the second story frost love which is the story of fl's brother in Hidden Love. So we're getting dramas of both manhuas? Hidden Love and Frost Love. I can't believe this happening. The casting of both dramas is amazing, I loved him in Lighter and princess and it would be great to see him in this drama as well. Don't know about the fl but hopefully it would stand the exectations of the story. I need to start this manhua as well.

That was so ridiculous. Not sure if it was the company or it was the show who kicked them out, but it was not reasonable for them to leave the show. They were so talented and good in rankings too. Knets sure knows how to create a controversy out of nothing. it's not like he bullied someone or killed someone. He was just partying or friends with people that they think not as appropriate? That's so ridiculous. They didn't know the group in the past and it was at that time. Not like he was doing something at the moment or did something illegal. There was no valid reason to kick this group out. I like the show but I don't like how good contestants are leaving over small controversies. They deserve better.
