In my opinion, I don't think Yumeno was shocked that Mishima has a di*k. It's more like he was reminded that he "shouldn't" feel such things towards someone with a di*k.
It may be an unpopular opinion, but I like Yumenos' character, a young teenage boy with internalised homophobia. I'm conflicted about whether or not to feel sorry for him because he did bully Mishima. I didn't forget that. (btw his eyes are GORGEOUS!)
Mishima and Kirino finding each other so that they can be themselves is so wholesome. Their giggling about boys and makeup makes my whole day!
The mom knows.
I have to say I like how this story is building up.

And the Mishimas cucumbers, you didn't... not after that...

I think this was a needed slap of reality for the BL watching community (me included). learning that it can't always be sunshine and rainbows, and getting to see a side of the LGBTQ+ community that is not so frequently shown in the stories we love and adore. don't get me wrong I love a sweet happy ending as much as the next person, but it's healthy to challenge one's delusions, and that's what Love in the Big City did. to me it was a therapeutic hug. xx
