its not about the genre for me. I actually enjoy historical detective dramas and revenge dramas , this one just didn’t emotionally connect with me the way I expected it to. Acting was great, but sometimes a story just doesn’t hit personally, and that’s okay 😊
As I continue watching, their dynamic is improving every episode, its slowly building up… Im a slow burn lover and I’m here for it 🫠 Loving all the cases too; the story is getting so interesting!
Cheng lei is an amazing actor , one of my favourite ♥️ i cant wait for this to air , ive been waiting for these two pairings ✨ and the story is intriguing, cant wait !

I don’t think this is about wanting romance or big emotions. For me, it’s about interaction and partnership. Bai Lu’s character is very active, responsive, and drives the scenes, especially during investigations, while the ML often feels more like an observer standing beside her. Independently, his character works, but together the dynamic feels uneven. Chemistry doesn’t have to mean romance , it can also be rhythm, exchange, and reacting to each other, which is what I feel is missing so far.
Now this is just my personal take, but while I enjoy the drama, the dynamic between the leads feels uneven to me s:
I Will keep watching though,.. i think this has to do with the director or script choices, since both actors have proven their range in other dramas
