"Not sure what the meaning of Phum saving Tam from drowning means" I think you answered that yourself. Phum is supposed to be what Tam has created to help him with his problems. It could essentially be that Phum/or the thoughts of Tam, is what kept him from ending it all at that particular time.
P.S. Now it makes sense why the mother changed opinion and became supportive suddenly at some point and Tam cried. It was his imagination/dream... It's so sad. I'm glad I was able to catch the meaning as it's so much deeper than what initially appears thanks to you.

You are welcome :D It would prob be ok honestly. I've seen other comments saying that they skipped bad romance al"together". Lmao word play... However skipping parts that don't involve KornKnock like you suggested sounds like the best option if you don't wanna watch the other scenes. Have fun with whatever you finally decide to do, I'm sure you will. The series starts off picking a quite fast pace but it finds its way right on. Should totally watch this, so good
