I gave 10/10 rating because acting and story wise show deserved it. This is by no means Romantic Drama. It shows three Kingdom by perspective of Sima Yi who was responsible for next Jin dynsty. Also shows the story of Last Han emperor and Why even untill his death even after abdication he kept receiving respect like an Emperor.
Every investigation result was predictable except for the first one including identity of the Wang Hua. Still I enjoyed the process. But that ML was stupid. Production was of good quality.

Exactly this Drama ended on a perfect open end ...it's all upto the viewers what they actually want the end to be...but it's to open ended from every interpretations the entire story changes from top to bottom. Unlike other open ended stories interpretation of end does change things but it doesn't change the entire story but it's too open ended to change the meaning of entire story with every interpretation. Still a good story.

Drama tells us that we should satisfy ourselves by thinking that Xu Bin was a mastermind but there was a clear hint of a middleman between Long Bo and Xu Bin who gave them Parisian currency. in actual drama ended on cliffhanger and ending was left up to the interpretation of audience. They can think of whatever ending they want. Be it Xu Bin as master mind for romanticist or a bigger force behind them.

If you are new to chinese dramas than it might look long to you at first but first 15 or so episodes are for Character introduction and giving them plots so keep going with it even those episodes are intresting and after that show really start picking pace and goes through a near perfect character developement. Best character arcs in C drama history. You are going to remember this show for a long time. Good Luck.

Some people have reccomended really good shows to you but if you have watched only Untamed and Nirvana in fire, 2 top most rated shows than 3 rd have to be 3 rd most rated Chinese Drama here "THE STORY OF MINGLAN". Joy Of Life is good too. I watched it before minglan I loved it but If I rate than Minglan will recieve slight 0.5 more than Joy of Life. After Watching Minglan watch "Ever Night". After you are done with these top 5 Chinese Dramas you ll knowyourself what to watch next. Story of Yanxi palace, legend of Fu Yao, Ten miles of peach blossam these 3 are really good shows good for honourable mention but they on any circumstances should not be watched before the above mentioned master pieces.
