Title Junichi
Hello, ep 1, I don't remember the pregnant lady paid him, did she? I don't think he's a prostitute, he just fascinates…
‘And it's not like he changed their life or anything, gave them epiphany about something in their life,’.
Perhaps a re-watch is in order. He does prove to be a positive catalyst in every female’ s life he touches! That is the crux of the entire drama-not the sex.

If you wanna watch an anthology of Japanese shota porn without the actual porn part, then be my guest and watch…
Porn is by nature exploitative which is not the case in this drama.

They never explained why Junichi behaved the way he did. Homeless, never looking for anything. And apparently…
All parties are pretty self-aware of their desires. And good for them.

So basically he is a male prostitute that lives off of these 6 women?? Just guessing. But I am not surprised since…
Not a prostitute or gigolo.

Yeah I first started writing this when it was just "Wuhan Pnuemonia" and I missed that when scanning it back to…
They were interviewed about it and they decided to not do anything. Their beer is that popular that it probably will boost sales come to think of it! Un cerveza pour favor! ?

Although there is a small similarity in plot, I wouldn't say there was any plagiarism involved. It baffles me…
Bingo! Your last line is spot on.

There are only so many concepts to go around so there is bound to be some degree of copying.
Sorry I meant overlap not copying.

I was relieved to hear the name change from the Corona Virus to COVID-19 for the sake of the Corona Beer Company. You don’t want your product associated with something negative like a virus. Case in point: When the A.I.D.S. crisis first broke out, a company whose dietary aid product, Ayds, went bankrupt. People stopped buying them overnight. The subconscious link was just that powerful...

I 100% agree (and I still poke fun at the Americans bc they still get basics wrong >
I cannot attribute the quote just now, but someone nailed it when they said Trump cannot read! (Reference to subtitles, thus he cannot possibly have even seen the movie!) There was something even more amusing regarding him this past week.

Sorry for hijacking your medical thread!

I miss it as well. Intelligent tv is hard to come by off the internet. Hence why I am exploring Asian options and wish I had known about them so much sooner! ? (Making fun of Americans tv is a national pastime -especially now with Trump gracing the screen so often!) Totally unrelated; I hope Koreans will just laugh at his reaction to Parasite winning the Oscar. He does not have a cultural bone in his body! He is not to be taken seriously. Please pass that along to others who may be offended.

I just realized my original post was misplaced-you were the last one to comment so that’s where my post landed. Sorry about that.

Sorry I did not mean to suggest you were the one who claimed the parents lied. We will never know why the parents decided to couch her illness . I assume they had their reasons. Guilt sometimes misguided can play a huge role. One only had to read between the lines to figure out the cause of death. I agree with you that if something was amiss it needed to be brought out into the open. But the public does not have a role yet to play that can shed light where it needs to be pointed. For now that is.

Eons ago we used to poke fun at American soap operas for medical mistakes - the most common being no masks being worn in ICU. But storylines got more complicated as did the illnesses. And some viewers thought the shows truly reflected life. By the time the night time soaps hit prime time you would routinely see medical and psychological advisors included in the production staff. I am sure HOUSE had a team of them!

They did not lie-certain types of depression i.e. dysthymia and cyclothymia, can indeed be long-term illness. But it’s all a moot point since their beautiful child is no more.

I would like to think that if any untoward behaviour was taking place that those in the individual’s inner circle would be those who would take up the cause in exposing the behaviour and seeing to it that justice is served. I genuinely do not see the good it can do telling the public. I agree there has been an epidemic in the entertainment industry of preventable losses. And the public shares its communal outrage and grief. But how do you balance the family’s right to grieve as they see fit versus the general public’s who somehow feel the deceased is also a part of them, thus entitling them to rights of their own?
Consider the following: What has come about in terms of progress since the deaths of the last dozen or so celebrities? Have they all died in vain?
If you want change you have to be that change! If certain agencies are known to treat their artists poorly, don’t wait for the government to legislate change. You need to hit the miscreant agencies where it hurts-in the pocket book. You need to boycott them. Don’t go to concerts, see their movies attend fan meetings etc. While this would mean the artists would suffer, you have to consider the long-term gain. Picket their offices. Use protest signs commemorating the lost artists. Maybe it is time for artists to unionize, Or for older artists to start management companies of their own. (Hasn’t Henry Lau done just that?) No matter how small an agency is, people will flock to those that treat them respectfully.
Petition the government to have a day dedicated to those who passed. Or start a grass roots campaign for setting aside a day for those who were from your neighborhood. A documentary would help bring to light the issues at hand,
An independent social agency where artists could report their issues needs to be established.
At the very least do your part in reducing the shame that misguidedly got attached to depression. It in fact is a brain injury. There is a malfunction at play. The brain is attached to the body. And there is never any shame attached to other issues affecting other parts of the body such as cancer, ALS or leukaemia. With depression the stakes are higher because your judgement is impaired rather than let’s say your ability to walk.
If you are truly caring about what is happening, don’t hesitate to channel your sadness, anger, sense of injustice into something that will put an end to the sorrow of others. But it has to be more concrete than commiserating about it.
