Why does the public need to be made aware of these issues? I feel there must be an individual on every Chinese drama whose task it is to find something wrong with the intention of throwing shade on the entire endeavour. I for one am sick of it! Enough is enough! Much ado about nothing a per usual!
When I first read that he was involved in a scandal, I thought what the hay? He is the last actor I would picture involved in something compromising. When I read the details, I could not believe how blown out of proportion the whole issue was. He sent a parody of a scene in his latest film to fellow actors. He must have realized it was inappropriate or too revealing and deleted it right away. No harm, no foul. How did the whole world come to know of his gaffe? I cannot for the life of me figure out why his actions warrant losing a drama. The punishment does not fit the crime. Now if that was a parody, the actual scene must have been much worse and many must have seen it. A bit hypocritical, I would say. Those of you who are so quick to besmirch his character, you are way off course with him and do realize that you may be responsible for a decline in his mental health. Shame on you! You could be sued for what you wrote. He is an actor’s actor, not one of the pretty boys trotted out to win young female audiences. He takes on difficult roles that are challenging and we are the beneficiaries of his talent. Like Shakespeare said, “ Much ado about nothing.”
« The Yang family's visit to raise relatives also allowed the Ji family to temporarily survive the crisis. » Were they raised from the dead? I thought the drama could have ended right before the character of the Prince was introduced. But I was wrong, as the plot thickened with his appearance. I found the main leads’ relationship refreshingly unique. It flowed so smoothly I forgot they were acting. It seemed so realistic. And small wonder as they are together in real life. It was repetitive and choppy in parts, but I must confess, I will suffer all manner of indignities as Zheng Ye Cheng diverts my attention. The female lead remained confident throughout. I felt so sorry for her fiancé who was hard done by. The touch of humour was well-balanced with the uglier aspects of the story. I quite enjoyed it.
When you are in for the long haul on a drama such as this one, and waiting for the next episode seems unbearable, watch an older drama you can binge through to your heart’s content. I recommend making it a comedy.😄

What happened to Chris Wu's profile on MDL? It's gone. Was he deported back to Canada and still in prison?
He remains in a Beijing prison. I just read the accusations against him and they are so over the top they had to be fabricated. I have never heard of a case where so many things occurred as a result of the crime. It’s laughable. Perhaps he is guilty of some things, but not everything. In fact, the main accuser asserted he had raped 30 women then somehow she whittled it down to six. Hardly credible.

and I dare say I've seen very few dramas where people complained that ML was annoying instead of FL. It's tedious…
She is supposed to be unlikable, as the script calls for it. The actress is doing a fine job so far. Scratchy FLs are not a trope per say. I have watched plenty of dramas where the FLs character is delightful or worthy of our respect. It seems that the audiences make up their minds far too quickly, before allowing the drama to unfold to any significant degree.
The synopsis didn’t lend to the possibility of there being humour in this drama. After watching the clip, one gathers that the hurting of others is supposed to pass as humour!
