Great drama, another ending that was rushed but still a great drama.
My big take is that Kim Joo Heon doesn't really impress me at all. As an antagonist, his acting is not convicing, could have had a much better option for the role.
It's just weird that Part 2 didn't get that much buzz or recognition maybe because of the lack of promotions. I didn't even realize that part 2 was released already.
Update: took me 6 days to finish because of college hahahahaha mb.
I really enjoyed this drama. The director was also the one who made D.P. so that's why they have similar concepts and some of the cast are here as well.
The school violence was spot on. The King of Pigs is also highly recommended if you're looking for school violence genres. I don't know but some fight scenes look unrealistic. Like the last fight scene, I think if you hit your head with a barbell with full force, you would definitely be unconscious or dead already.
Park Ji Hoon was very impressive and his emotions was well commended. His character and acting style in this drama reminds me of Jung Hae In being serious or expressing no emotions with his characters. I would definitely include him as best new actor for the upcoming awards.
Looking forward for Season 2!!!
Can someone also explain why they have 2 names or it will be explained in the next season?
Strong start but weak finish. Nonetheless, I'm glad to see the tandem of Kim Ji Eun and Nam Koong Min again, their pairing in these type of genres compliment one another.
This drama was a miss for me. It felt like something was missing that would have made it an entertaining drama. I dont know if it was the setting or how they executed the storyline.
There should be a standard when it comes to Main Leads.
Like how does Kim Ji Eun only get 10 mins of screen time per episode sometimes less than that yet she is considered as a main lead. I admired her a lot in The Veil and was really happy that she got another main role but in this drama she was more like a supporting cast and filler character.
NGL, the story was great but could have expected more screen time from Kim Ji Eun. She has potential in this type of genre.
Everything has a sense of balance into it. I was hoping for more actual badminton scenes instead of romance but its still great either way.
If you're into romance then this is for you but if you're looking forward for actual competition or badminton scenes. It may not be soothing for you. Also, The angles of the badminton scenes doesn't seem engaging at all. Anyways that's my thoughts.
Lee Do Hyun's screentime was so short and that it just felt like a filler role.
Im Ji Yeon really did well as an antagonist. Her expressions are spot on.

It feels like a spark when they are together.
