"It is the drama's fame and popularity that brought up massive viewers for the donghua or readers for the novel". This is true with international fans especially. Before drama the views to the story is less than after drama. Before its mostly Chinese only who read the novel.

I didn't find WWX so evil in novel either. And in my opinion Xue Yang and Jin guang yao are toned down in drama more.

In novel they even wrote how they used trails and errors on living beings and xue yang is more sadist in novel than drama. But by giving more insight of their back story made them bit pitiful but nonetheless the things they did are more evil than they should. mainly JGY has more back story in novel than in drama.

Drawing a picture in animation is easy than two people portraying WWX. Viewers really can not connect to the two actors and it would actually spoil the feel of WangXian.

When reading novel I could only imagine WYB and XZ for LZ & WWX/MXY. so I could like it.

watched anime almost 20 episodes of 1 & 2 seasons but not so impressive like drama. coz the expressions and emotions are better portrayed by people than pictures...

I read that but I highly doubt that drama will adopt second lead role this effectively...

But I am hoping for the best second lead role...

I remember this dialogue from some drama
" Male lead is for heroine and second lead is for audience to love"

I really want such character

Actually before someone mention about the budget and CGI of this show I never found anything out of place about the show...

Of course even after knowing that this is cheapest production but it is not inferior to any high budget drama...

Everything just blended naturally into the show...

I saw a teaser of the wolf but didn't see anythingof XZ except a bit of glimpse. So not much interested. But if his role is really interesting and of importance I will definitely give it a try.

I am really waiting to see if there will be any new drama of XZ which could be thriller and with intellectual mind games where he could out play bad guys on his finger tips

XZ being support character or Second lead is the only concern for me.

I couldn't dare to watch Joy of life for this same reason and hated Oh My emperor 2

He calls very tenderly and romantically.
I love him calling LZ particularly in burial grounds scene when all are struck and enquire about sue shi

I think not inserting unnecessary romance between them is what saved the beauty of this drama.

For me the moment LWJ and WWX shares the screen or stares, all the others are just like wall paper... so I couldn't find the any hints of romance between WWX and WQ
I think that's the case with many people who watched this draam....
