For her, it was more like a matter of pride, sh didn’t want to seem incompetent, which honestly made her character infuriating at times.

The reviews for this drama are awful and doesn’t do this drama any justice. Through the darkness isn’t the typical action based detective kdrama, instead it focuses on the essence of the criminal’s psyche and how grasping the motivations can help stop or prevent horrendous crimes. If u wanna watch something speedy and fast, watch a less realistic kdrama (there’s no shame in this I watch and enjoy some of these) but pushing the narrative that this kdrama isn’t good is just worn out and tbh very silly.
