For me, I faced some difficulty completing due to the plot it's realistic but not attractive and too long but I think its worth watching because of the big cast of females. it's interesting to see many new female leads with beautiful cinematography and costumes. also, I love the main female lead ( Ruyi's) character and acting and some other characters encouraged me to complete and I am curious to know how it will end (though I know the ending). I advise you to give it try then decide to complete it or not. it's slow, not fast-paced.

I finished this drama I think another half, not like the first half but still good I have some points I will say it in the review for another half. but I want to talk about the beauty of this show. This show is very unique and it's rare to see a show like this for these reasons which are most things encourage me to complete the show 1- Chinese philosophy and culture in political debates you can see the original life they live in that period of time and see how this culture affects them in their decisions, thinking, and actions. Also, you can see how it's hard to live with all these laws and regulations. you must be very alert to every word you say it and actions you do it there are eyes seeing you everywhere. 2- wisdom phrases and poem give deep to the drama 3- Realistic character with a lot of layers and deep. all their actions and thinking is real not with extra drama which make you feel their feeling especially emperor and empress.
I reach 32 episodes and its amazing! till now the balancing between the events is very good not boring at all you can understand each character feeling and actions very clearly its hard to blame anyone. The political debates is very interesting to see you can understand ancient Chinese way of thinking. Also, you can see different point of view each one of them want to benefit the nation.
