If understand right, Bai Jue love for Houchi might be not the same for his love for Shanggu. Remember when Houchi first come to him and he said "You look like her, but you're not her". After all his protective side for her come when Shanggu start to appear back.

I know both of them are Bai Jue and Shanggu but imagine in their place knowing that they're nothing but just spirit of them and will be gone anytime? My heart just broke. I think Houchi only want Qingmu, even to know he's actually alive inside of Bai Jue is a good news for her. She can differentiate between both of them. But Bai Jue really hurt her by doing all that :((

The cgi is gorgeous! I think you must saw the comments abt the editing. I think I once saw them but it's okay that's not too bad. Actually same, it's kinda hard for me to accept when Wu Huan first appeared and she got so many scenes? Like we can guess she will be the evil characters because of that. About the spirit beast, in LAR they said spirit beast can't really separate from it's owner or not it's going to died or smth but here Wu Huan, Hongri were still okay. Even Bai Jue sacrifices himself, Hongri is still there well. Maybe because they're gods themselves lmao but I'm really curious.
