this drama is confusing. idk if I'm watching at the wrong timing but I feel like there's not enough introduction about the characters. things just happen and it's not executed properly. anyway, I still hate how she downgraded his job? I mean she hate it when people downgraded her because she's funeral-director so she should know how bad it is when others judge you for your job. People have different way to finding money. I was anticipating for this drama since last year and was left dissapointed. The plot was interesting republican + xianxia but at the same time boring (or more to flat?) because they don't executes it well. I thought the chemistry cannot be that bad as people said but without doubt yes, bad. I don't even fangirl which is something I always do for a little skinship. I cry harder about Shiqi's family than when Lu Yan sacrifice himself :(
Acting was also meh. I saw Allen drama before and he's alright. Even the dubbing in FaE was pretty good but this one was sure bothering. His acting + dubbing sometimes don't even match. The only time he impress me was the change of temperament bcs he figure out YDD is YX. Li Qin impress me more. I stay because of her when I went in because of Allen. I take some time to complete this one already speak a lot. The ending left me with a lot of questions but I read the comments below and my question was solve. Li Qin so pretty tho!

10 eps in and I already hate Li Junxiao and his sister. The comment she gave to the mother-in-law about her daughter-in-law was really disturbing for me. Don't make a bold assumptions when you barely know them, ugh! LJX was just ugh I'm annoyed when looking at his face. This is bingedworthy as I'm watching ep 1-11 straight I don't have much to complaint. I hope we get some angst tho. The chemistry? What chemistry do you expect when the only things in his mind is Yun Xi and her spirit. But gotta say RJL voice don't really suit as General Yan so I find that part lacking. starting from ep 12 , lu yan start to soften up to Yu Dengdeng but I'm feeling bad as it's was because she's Yun Xi not ydd herself :((
anyway, based on ep 22, Yu Dengdeng is really Yun xi right? I was hoping for more twist tho :)
