Ig technically in a way A Yin is not Feng Yin. Feng Yin's soul went into the water beast egg, which resulted in A Yin hatching, so the soul of A Yin belongs to Feng Yin, but the body does not (belongs to the unhatched water beast). So I think ZLS means that when A Yin dies and Feng Yin's soul returns to her original phoenix body, Feng Yin is a new entity/form compared to A Yin (water beast) and the water beast that was A Yin no longer exists anymore, except the memory from the soul piece that used to be A Yin's soul. I tried my best to explain, hope that makes some sense :)
